    Thanks.

I hope it is programmed to only fault/stall the engine when it is fully in gear and the brake and gas are depressed significantly. This would allow heel-toeing and smooth transitions between gears like any good manual tranny. This would make sense to me.

Normal heel toe action while shifting does not cut power or stall the engine. If I hold the brake and the accelerator while in gear for a couple of seconds I get an error on the dash that warns that the break and accelerator are both depressesed. I do not feeligible a stall or power cut however
Maybe if I kept them both pushed it would cut power eventually.

Perfect. I figured this would be the reasonable way for it to work. Thanks for clearing that up.

Bought a new 2016 Tacoma. I shed a tear having to buy an auto. FML and F U automatic transmissions. It's bad enough I can't buy this truck with a diesel motor...

So I am thinking of trading in my 2015 DCLB 4X4 towards a 2016 Inferno Access Cab 4x4 Manual. Was building it the other day with my zip code of 01501. No issues at all picked tech package 1 and all was fine. Went to do it again today and now in my zip code I can only get 3 colors. Barcelona, Silver, or Black. Does anyone know if this is actually true? And if it is WTF TOYOTA???

....maybe your dealer can get you one from a different area? Or, order what you want somewhere else and fly to go get it?

The build page only allows you to configure trucks that are already built.

The build site only allows options that are either on lots or in the pipeline already. Talk to a dealer, they can put in an allocation request for the exact build you want, assuming of course that Toyota makes it already, no ACLB TRD OR 6MT in the States for example.

And don't just talk to one dealer, talk to lots of them, as many as you can.

It's *hypocrite and please try to use proper grammar when trying to insult someone, otherwise it just makes you look stupid.

And comments like this is why polite conversations turn into shit ones here and why most threads end up toxic in the 3rd gen section, maybe try saying something nice instead.

Thanks for the kind words and honestly the only things I used to laugh about and make comments about was stupid questions that have already been asked a million times in the 2 Gen Section. But hey have a great day, and just so you know I am not a behind the scenes kind of guy. My goal is to get you a vacation because this Forum definitely needs less of what you have to offer. @sean266 @ForeRunner @chris4x4 In my early days I have been banned for less, and I believe this violates the COC of your Forum.

Ya I don't get it, the environment in the third gen section is just poison sometimes. Especially since if a member really knew you they would know you offer solid advice and experience along with the fact you give free stuff away, tool borrowing, etc. Some people indeed, keep fighting the good fight sir.

@ForeRunner , @chris4x4 , @sean266 thanks for cleaning that up. Not sure what that guys issue was. I appreciate you all trying to keep this a positive place. Must be a challenge at times. Cheers!

Back on topic now...this 2016 6speed is getting smoother shifting as time goes on. I find that for effortless shifts from 1 to 2 I need to shift a little earlier than I normally would. 2nd gear aligns nicely if I can drop it into second at about 1800 rpms. Still plenty of torque at 1800 to pull away in 2nd.so I guess it works fine.

I hope the issue a few have seen with it being difficult to shift out of gear was related to only a handful of trannies. Mine has had zero issues and I have run it through its paces.

Dark Grey with black carpet. Did you order yours? The only reason I ask is that someone got the first truck I ordered that didn't have any options on it when it arrived.
