I would have no problems starting the morning of the 30th. How many days would you plan on taking to run this, or when would you plan on being in Moab? Just curious because I've already paid for a house rental in Moab for RT from the 29th - 5th.

I'm not 100% sure... partly depends on the group and how fast everyone wants to travel. It's 160 miles, so I'm thinking 2.5 days... 2 back to back 80mile days is a bit much to ask IMO considering we've never traveled together and don't really know what to expect. So mid day to afternoon of the 1st...

    what's everyone else's take?

I figure about that maybe just 2. It's a bit just to montrose so we would hit dirt at lunch probably on day 1

I think its a matter of figuring out how to get Rochelle to Moab for Rock Therapy if I leave on the 30th. I won't want to run to Denver to get her and come back for rock therapy on Wednesday when we finish rimrocker

so wait, I was figuring we'd camp just outside Montrose down the trial somewhere to start it out... where were you thinking?

Natalie is probably not coming back out but if she does it'll be the 3rd... but if we can agree on an early start the 28, then I think we can make it work for Natalie

damn, sorry to hear that. Maybe we can connect when we get there!

Normally I'd just over rule her and go with you guys anyways, but she spent a pretty penny on a plane ticket and also went in on the house rental so I'm going to oblige her. We'll definitely meet up in Moab, hopefully run a trail together...we'll be there from 29th - 5th and possibly camping at BFE the 3rd & 4th.

    Yes.
I'm still down for whatever. I'm working in Denver (technically littleton) May 23-27. After that I'm down for whatever y'all think is best. I'm also likely down to meet any of those evenings, or the weekend 28/29 assuming we don't just hit the trail. :)

I want to run it the memorial day weekendstarting Saturday. Camp in Montrose Friday night and hit trail Saturday. Or meet in Denver Saturday and cruise down get a half day on the trail and full day Sunday. I can be flexible either way but I can't do it Monday or later. Rochelle is coming for R.T., we have reservations for Thursday through Sunday.

Ok... How about we plan on camping in Montrose Friday night, and starting the trail Saturday 28 May? I will stage Natalie's truck in Grand Junction and if it takes us 2 days, I'll have plenty of time to run her to Grand Junction in the AM.

    Yes.
What time would y'all be hitting the road Friday to get to Camp? If you're anywhere even remotely near Littleton, I'd love to tag caravan. :)

    Yes.
I'm pretty sure this is where I'll be working. 1221 W Mineral Ave, Littleton, CO 80120
I will have checked out of my hotel room Friday morning, so everything should be in the truck and ready to roll out whenever. I'll PM whoever wants/needs my phone number so we can coordinate.

For radios, I typically caravan on CB 8, and 146.460mhz (2M) But I could be convinced to change any/all of those to somewhere else if y'all have a preference. :)

OK. So let's plan this for hitting the trail head in Montrose Saturday at Breakfast. I'll look into a solid campsite in montrose and get in touch with a couple of the local 4wd and snowmobile clubs and see what the deal is. Maybe one of them will have a gpx file as well. @ebbs15 wanna update the original post to show this info?

Cool I have been looking at it on my phone. And it doesn't show much updated. I'll be calling a guy sometime today who rode it on his snowmobile a month ago or so to see what he has to say.
