I've talked to two people who have a Tepui and have also personally seen and touched a Summit Series for comparison. Both say they would still rather have the Ruggedized over the Summit. Now granted that's only 2 people but from everything I've read I don't think I'm giving up much by not getting the Summit.

I would much rather have grey or olive green but I waited too long to decide and they sold out. Tepui's expected arrival date for more colors is also the end of May (on the same ship as CVT presumably) but I can't take the chance so orange it is. I'm sure once I get it I'll realize the color isn't so bad.

tents are exactly the same.. all made in the same factory. In fact, we rebuilt @The Fluffer Tepui with CVT parts. CVT has much better customer service. each have little things that set them apart.

and shit man... didnt know it was your birthday yesterday! Happy Birthday!!

It was my Grandpas birthday yesterday too.. hence why i was up north. which.. sorry I didnt get a chance to hit you up. was just always on the go, go, go.

Did snag a few Jacks tho ;)

Its all good bro! Gotta get your family time in while you can. We'll meet up at some point. My Bday was actually on the 28th when I did the solo trip up to the Rim. Good times!

I'm excited to get the tent and start putting it to use!!

So I get the call this morning from the freight truck driver who has my Tepui tent already!

Open the truck door and the first thing I see is about a 10 inch piece of wood sticking out of the box!! Closer inspection and sure enough it went all the way through and right into the tent. The box was framed very well from Tepui. This piece came from something else on the truck. Tepui was very helpful and took care of the issue.

Yeah no kidding right!!! It took some serious force to get that wood all the way through that mesh stuff and into the mat.

Got it figured out for the ditch lights but still not the hazards yet. Also started looking into the future and realized when I have all the switches wired to accessories it's going to be a massive shit show of wiring and disconnects. So now I think I'm going to figure out how to built a harness plug so it's a simple one plug deal and cleaner.
