Nice Pics guys. Got tied up more than I thought, but glad to see you all had fun.

 

Looks like fun. I'm not currently having fun. 104 degree temperature and a throat infection. I haven't ate since lunch on Saturday.

I have a 4-day weekend this week and next week....

 

Brian, Lets get together this weekend or week if you are available. I have a half day on Thursday and off this weekend and likely hitting up Corral Canyon. Lets get your CB installed and Tuned. Ours worked great up there. We can do it at my place or yours. I have tools and if you want to bring your own that is cool too. We will have a mini mod day.

John, LBtaco, Jeff and I had our CB tuned really well...

 

TUNED is a loose word for my cb; I just had good luck. I plan on at least installing the antenna permanently so i can screw it on and move on.. So a CB day would work really well for me. But Tree and I were pretty crystal clear on Saturday..

I cant do this weekend at all, as I'm sure most of us cant.. i vote somewhere in Orange County.. so between us SD people and those LA people.. Honestly, I'd be okay with at my house.. i have seriously poor parking BUT we could make it work if no one wants to do elsewhere..

 

Are you getting a Firestik then? The Magetic mount is great for me cause I can just remove it when going into the Garage. I think if you set it in the middle of the roof it should work really well. That is the optimum position for the antenna on a vehicle.

 

I'll do that next time for sure (if i don't end up doing a permanent mount) and i woulda moved it when you told me.. but.. i was lazy.

 

I would keep it...those firestiks seem hard to tune...or no one knows how. I have yet to see someone with a FS communicate like we did this weekend. But again I do not have experience with the firestik

 

I might just use the antenna i have now unscrewed from the magnetic base and hook it up to one of the permanent mounts.. and as long as im tuned, it should be fine....?
