They seem to be the only truck company trying to advance with technology. Dodge is starting to catch on with the Ecodiesel.

They will find out the hard way when gas goes back up, and they have trucks sitting on their lots

Ford really needs a new infortainment system. All those buttons under the tiny screen looks ridiculous.

I like the touch screen infotainment center
    [IMG]
But I don't like the base model infotainment.

I have been looking at full size for some time. First choice is Tundra, but of the big 3 Ford is the only one I will buy. I have friends and family members with all of them - Rams, F150s, F250s, Silverados, GMCs - Rams are awesome when they are new, but don't last. Chevy's are just never awesome (in my opinion). Fords are okay. We have several F150s and F250s at work that get worked really hard and they don't fare too bad, even with 100k+ miles on them.

It isn't as big as the pic looks. A good bit of the bottom is the plastic air dam from ford. Weighs 150lbs

Just put a deposit down today on a Ram 1500 SLT crew cab with the Outdoorsman package. Picking it up on Tuesday. Love my Tacoma, but needed more space inside and out. We can now do the trip to camp in one vehicle, and now when I need a pallet of wood pellets, I can just go to Home Hardware and get them to forklift it right into the bed instead of loading bag by bag. The Tacoma isn't going anywhere though. It's just been promoted from daily driver to fun-mobile.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .
When I bought this Tacoma (maybe my 10th or so Toyota truck) I looked at Ford, Chevy & Ram. I really liked the aluminum body and 5.0 in the Ford and wanted a Red LTX RC-EC/SB with a 5.0 & auto ...... But after a long test drive (another model) ... I realized that the F150 was too big for me ... especially in parking lots & garages.

The 2016 Tacoma even seems big to me now in a parking garage. My tastes and thoughts go back to my 2004 DC/SB (crazy me for selling it).

I do like the F150's, but man I would love to own a '50s F100.

    Beautiful.

What's the real world cost on that rig? If you don't mind.

I haven't bought anything but Toyota since 2006 and not familiar with the massive mark downs domestic trucks receive.

I'm a year in with my 2015 F150 and still loving it. I've put 28k on it, lifetime MPG around 17, with my daily commute being mostly city driving. Highway is about 18-21 depending on speed and wind. That's a SuperCrew 4x4 King Ranch with the 5.0 and 3.55 locker. I had a couple minor fit/finish things, but once the dealer sorted those out, it's been perfect. Rock solid reliability through this first year too...still highly recommend the F150.

Pic from the day I got it:

My pops had an early 2000s f150 growing up, I got to drive it for a couple years when I got my license, that was a great truck and the F150 was my favorite rig until I got acquainted with a Tacoma.

To this day though, if I were to ever consider a non-Toyota truck it would be a Ford, no doubt. My cousin actually works on assembly for what I think is their only remaining plant in the states, in Missouri.
