Ordering a TRDOF w/6sp manual

I ended up talking with Dean at Toyota West. Very helpful and we have the truck ordered with $300 down to get it done. Pretty fair price as well. $37k with tech package and a few other accessories out the door taxes included.

 

Will be 8-9 weeks though which kinda sucks.

Toyota needs to wake up and start producing more manuals!

Ordered mine in January, had it in February. Waited about 6 weeks.

The dealers can look at what is scheduled to be built, and try to find something that matches your basic configuration. Then they request that vehicle redirected to their inventory. That's what they did for me, Found the color/drivetrain/trim and then they were able to get the add-ons I wanted (weather package and clear bra) added at the assembly plant, otherwise they would have just installed them at the dealership.

I'm in Michigan, so personally I find whatever story they're selling you about Ohio to be complete bullshit. Find a different dealer that is willing to work with you.

 

That's great. Dean knows his Toyota trucks! Chris is the service manger and a awesome guy to deal with also.

 

I ordered mine... Took nearly 6 months to get here but it's here and I am very glad I waited. You can get what ever you want but you have to find the right dealer. I was told the same thing as you by 3 different dealers before I found one that was willing to "Option my build" as they called it.

Update! So Dean originally quoted me 8-9 weeks which I was Pete you fine with waiting. However he gave me a call today letting me know it's being built 5/19 and they'll have it first week of June! Very excited.
