How do you disengage the open door indicator???

    I cant stand that "ding...ding" when the key is in the ignition and the door is open. Does anybody know how to diable that thing?

    It's just a pain in the ass when I'm coyote hunting and I need the key on ACC so I can blast calls through my stereo but I have to climb out the window so I don't blow my cover with that damn door ding.

    I dont coyote hunt but good god that chime irritates me too. sometimes I like to have my door open cuz its hot but my music on too. Ill definitely be waiting for an answer...

    i think it has a push button switch in the door jam.if so disconnect it and tape the connector so it cant ground.

    green wire with red indicator just below the steering collumn. It is in a 2 wire harness with a white wire with black indicator. unplug that harness and it will kill you buzzer. Aparently the dome light still works as well. some worries of the alarm not working. Check and see. You could wire that harnes to a switch and have control over the buzzer.

    "just looked under the steering column on my '03. I didn't find a blue wire, but I found a blue conncector for a 2-wire wiring harness. One of the wires was green with red stripe, the other was white with black strip. I unplugged that harness and it killed the door chime when key is on ACC. Dome light still works. My headlights turn off automatically if the ignition is turned from ON to OFF while lights are on. Anyone know if this is the same mod? Also, anyone know what that white with black stripe wire is for?"
