they're great if you're looking for whole vehicles, sucks if you just want parts. there's actually a ton of old runners on there right now.

The Powerstroke 6.7 is older than the Cummins 5.0
You are aware that the 5.0 isnt in the frontiers, it is in the Titan.
    Not Cummins first V8
    How is it copied again?

Ford has been trying to get a Cummins since they bought international back in the late 80s. But Cummins was heavily in bed with dodge already. They finally sold them plans for their v8 down in chihuahua Mexico.

thats a lot more than we typically see - everyone must be ditching their old Runners and getting 3rd gen Tacos

But if you are serious about getting a project vehicle and you find something in the Butte - Bozeman - Helena CL listings I'd be happy to swing by and check it out in person for you.

And we do get rust, just not as bad as other regions. My neighbor has a 1st gen Runner and if you look at the rear fenders wrong it starts to flake and crumble

Not really a project vehicle. Next winter I'll probably be driving 70 miles round trip to work. The 4Runner I have will be a bitch in gas once I get all the armor and crap on. Thinking of picking something else to drive. The Camry probably won't cut it

Have you considered a Subaru as a DD?

I know ford wanted to own them.

I don't buy into Cummins selling them the plans for the v8. Maybe the plant, but not the plans.

The architecture of the 6.7 and 5.0 are very different.

I've had debated that as well. Possibly looking at an early 2000's outback manual. Was also thinking of snow tires on the Camry but the drive from 8-10k ft wouldn't be fun

I used to have a Subie - freaking invincible in the winter. If I am ever to the point of wanting/needing two vehicles another Subie would be at the top of the list. Especially if it was for winter driving/commuting.

That was initial plan. My mom has the new generation Outback and she really likes it. I have to figure out what to do with the Camry in the next couple of months.

For someone so "smart" you are very bad at paying attention. I was talking about Idyllwild this last weekend when there was no snow. You claim that I'm the one that makes personal attacks you seem to do it quite a bit

Oh and wearing shorts in the snow isn't dumb, its called not shaving your legs and being a man
