I have no idea why your truck is gaining lift. lol But, why don't you set your ride height exactly where you want it, take a good hub-fender measurement and then get an alignment. Now, if your springs settle you can just add preload until you get back to the ride height you were at when you got it aligned.

Here is my setup that I finished dialing in this weekend, healthy dose of red Loctite on everything: Dirt King heimed uppers with solid mounted lowers, DK bucket gussets, TC tab and spindle gussets, Kings, StopTech lines, Kartek straps and Superbumps.

Maybe I'm crazy and measured wrong but I did it a couple times and only got 24" after the alignment. I originally had it set to where I wanted before the alignment.. I'm getting new tires In a week so after I toss those on I'll readjust my height and go for another alignment

Why aren't you using the King resi mounts ? I'd be worried about that resi vibrating loose...unless of course it has red loctite on it :rimshot:

They don't fit with the bucket gussets. I welded a resi mount to the gusset, and zip tied at the bottom. Not going anywhere. And yes, slathered in red.

Ah gotcha, I had the same problem but I thought the new style ones would work w/ gussets. I had the old style King resi mounts that held the resi horizontal and mine didn't work either so I cut them up, modified them, welded them back together in a new configuration and rattle canned em'...f-n bitch to get the bolts back in them with the frame straps for my bumper too.

Mine are the old mounts, and the 4R hoses have an extra 90 in them, so this ended up being the easiest way to get them on.

two questions, what size strap is that? and did you buy the bolt and plates to fix mount the lowers as a kit? or make the plates yourself?

8" Karteks, and I used a pair of RuffStuff shock tabs and 1/2" bolts

I have a coilover/taco lean question. Bought a truck it has fox co's on the front nothing fancy just factory IFP extended travel. When the previous owner installed them, he put a substantial amount of preload on the coils. Enough were I can't get anymore preload out of them. I know I will need new coils to provide the lift in the front, without any preloading. My question is how long of spring for them?
2nd. There is some serious taco lean on the front. Close to 2". Will the longer coils help removing some of it with preload on the driver's?

I don't think you need longer springs, you need the same length but with a higher spring rate, I believe you have a 14" spring. You might want to make sure, your driver's side fender support bushings might be gone and making your truck's body lean.

Anyone have advice on welding limit strap mounts to the rear axle? I've got the low range off road double shear mounts.

Huh didn't think of that. How would I be able to check/tell without tearing the uca apart. I have camburg uca btw.
With the preload I have 2.25" of thread just seems like an awful lot of preload

Mis-read bushings appear to be fine though

How much lift do you have? If your under 3 inches with that much preload I would say you need beefier coils. Keep the same length just higher spring hate.

Sitting at 2.5" wouldn't 650 lb coils be enough? Go up to 700?
