Rokblokz are the way to go for sure! The OEM guards don't seem like they would last very long off road. I ordered a set but didn't even take them out of the plastic... immediately sold them and ordered the Rokblokz.

Supposedly it helps fuel economy. I took mine off, ran through 2 tanks of gas, put it back on, ran through 2 more tanks of gas and I'm taking it right back off...

Looks better without for sure and i didn't notice any difference in fuel economy with or without.

So I started by grabbing a POS Serpa I took from a student so he wouldn't shoot himself, then I removed the holster from the baseplate and dremeled it down to what you see.
Laid the baseplate on a thin sheet of poplar, traced and cut it to match then sanded it smooth and painted it black, then put the wooly side of velcro onto one side of it, and the scratchy side of the velcro onto the wall of my center console low enough that the console can be closed with a G19 in place.
Originally I had affixed the wood to the baseplate with liquid nails but even after a 26 hour cure it was too loose, so I cleaned it off and will be using JB Weld tomorrow when I redo it.
Another option would be wooly side in the console and scratchy side on the holster so you could pull the whole thing and stick it onto a tac rig or pack.

My dealer stated today that there's a TCM update (transmission) for 'slip/slow change from 2nd to 3rd', should hopefully be getting this tomorrow when I pick it up.

Great! I think I am gonna pull the trigger on these soon!

One last question, I was browsing the Wet Okole sight and didn't see any Toyota graphic in their catalog for the front seat backs. Was that TRD graphic on yours something you added, or something specific to the group buy you got them in?

    Thanks!

I didn't build it hoping for your approval, I built it because it meets mine!
Check out the first post in this group buy thread, it shows the different graphics and the codes for them:

    Hope that helps

Thanks! That was perfect, what about screwing the poplar right to the holster and skipping the base plate?

Had some extra 2" tube steel left from a previous project, so I built myself a bumper step.

That's absolutely an option, but the screws are very short and I didn't want to either put pointy screws through the holster or take the time and effort to find, drill, and screw flat tipped screws through the wood.
