    Lotsa shit.
I have a 2009 2.7, going to be getting either 2525 or 2525xl muffler replacement. I am just wondering the o.d. and i.d. of the tubing going into the OEM muffler. Thanks!

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.

They are different 2.7L motors but the displacement is the same and horse power is very close. If you're really uncomfortable I'd stick a measuring tape at the exhaust tip, obviously if you have a aftermarket one you'll want to remove it first. Could also take a string and wrap it around the pipe then do a circumference calc to determine diameter of the pipe.

If the 2009 is similar to the 2012 and above exhaust piping (probably is) the 2.25" is a bit less than it actually is advertised as. I believe the 2.5" exhaust really measures at like 2.39" or something along those lines.

okay, thanks! I will do the circumference check, that makes sense. cant measure the tip because comes stock flared out to a larger size.

Ah just like the 2nd gens, forgot about that.

Yeah I'd wrap a string/something flexible around the pipe and take note of the distance around. From there you can calculate out the diameter of the pipe and that'll answer your question. If you're going through a reputable muffler shop just know they'll be able to make up a difference of a few fractions of an inch pretty easily. They have pipe stretchers/etc and can make it fit.
