I haven't done anything. Have the cb, antenna, coax, and getting the mount this week...the wiring is mostly what confuses me.

I could give you a hand this weekend. I just did mine a few weeks back so the install is still fresh in my mind. Might give me a chance to finish wiring up my compressor so I can get my lockers in before Moab.

Speaking of which...I'm looking for a recommendation on a shop to do my lockers and gears before Rock Therapy...I wanted to do them myself but I'm running out of time and don't have all the tools / knowledge / space to do it.

I'm not even sure. I'll finish up the truck formerly known as the RockLobster before this weekend and then I have another set for the next. Then all the required mods that need to take place on the new truck before Moab. I'm just not sure.

Insurance, I can't let anyone work on their own stuff in that shop. Benefits of working for a large company, many rules.

Worth every bit of fuel. I've excepted that if you want to have fun mobbing then you have to pay the price. At least here the gas prices are reasonable. Not like California.

I'd much rather stay in Alaska as opposed to being stuck in Tacoma or just outside it...which is where I'm assuming you'll be stationed?

Don't know about Army, but AF can be stationed in Tacoma and Spokane. I'd much rather be at Spokane... but after 3 years in Anchorage, I'd rather be in Tacoma. I loved Anchorage, but the cost of living sucks... and it's at LEAST a 12 hr flight if you want to go anywhere.

that being said... the Alcan is one of my favorite drives ever. did it 5 times. Plan on driving to Prudeho Bay and Inivuk after I retire. I love it up there, but only to visit, not live
