Bought my truck with the Tonneau Cover, had them swap out the factory tires for the BFG Rugged A/T's, 4x4, I do kinda wish I had opted for a sunroof - I miss having one. I do get a lot of compliments on the color. They were backing it off the truck when I showed up to look at a Sand colored one. The picture below is Day 1 with the factory tires. I had them swap them out for the Ruggeds no charge. They will do that if you ask.

Since then I have added a few aftermarket items which seemed a lot cheaper than what Toyota wanted:
    1. Bed Mat and Door Sill protectors on ebay for 110 bucks. I like this product because nothing slides around back there. The sill protectors help because it's sandy here and I just didn't want the scratches on the doorsills. Forgot to take a pic but they look good.Day 1 in the Driveway.jpg Swapped Factory tires for Ruggeds.jpg IMG_2100.jpg IMG_2110.jpg IMG_2139.jpg IMG_2141.jpg IMG_2145.jpg IMG_2151.jpg
    2. I ordered the 4" Nerf Bar Side step on Amazon but it actually came from a nearby Toyota dealer, for 159.00 and spent 40 bucks having it installed. They bolted on solid.
    3. WeatherTech Mudflaps (no Drill) 75.00 on Amazon and installed them in about 45 minutes.
    4. AVS Hood deflector for 51.00
    5. Put a turnkey clamp on the tailgate.

The wireless phone charger works fine with a phone case that doesn't have a lot of metal on the back.
The voice recognition forgets who I am all the time. I mostly push buttons to do stuff. That I can take or leave. You'll look crazy sitting in your driveway trying to get it ro recognize your voice. I'm just sayin...I use google maps for accurate navigation and the trucks nav as a backup.
I'm considering either a roofrack or something because I kayak and my 14 foot boat sticks out pretty far even with a truckbed extender. Works though. I actually like the idea of adding a camper shell with a rack on top which means I should have gotten a 4runner.

Initially I didn't like the tonneau because I learned after the fact it isn't water tight but I have to say I haven't had any issues with water getting in during downpours. I removed it just to see and it's not too hard but a little heavy with one good arm and a torn bicep. It's nice for security (remember to lock the tailgate - why didn't they just make an automatic lock?).
The Rearview camera is ok but I still find it easier to turn my head and it looks straight at the ground with the gate down. It also fogged up a couple of times with a big temp change and humidity.
The 4x4 works great in sand and mud and really easy to engage and disengage on the fly. No big hills in Florida but I plan to test it in Wyoming this summer.

Had my first oil change and checkup. About 6500 miles to date. So far so good.

Looks good! What's with the hose clamp on the tailgate?

3rd gen has a locking tailgate though.

I am also wondering the purpose of the hoseclamp.

I saw where people can remove your tailgate if it's unlocked so I figured a 3 dollar investment to be on the safe side. It doesn't interfere with the operation and you get a key to remove it if you want to. Thanks for asking!

I may have to steal the hose clamp idea. My dog tried jumping out while the gate was half way down yesterday, and the gate nearly came with him.
