Anyone have any trip recommendations for Smoky Mountains. Girl and I are going out for a few days for some campground/car camping. Any help much appreciated.

The Tail of the Dragon and Blue Ridge Parkway! TOTD is more for sport cars and sport bikes, 318 curves in 11 miles. It is a short drive from Deals Gap to Cherokee the south end of the BRP. The parkway is very scenic with plenty of overlooks.

No it doesn't. The Capitan mountains are also nice. Everything is spread out up there and not as easily accessible.

    Silver River, East Harrison Lake.

It was a friends birthday over the weekend, we got a group of friends together and celebrated on a nice beach along Silver River about 40KM up Harrison East FSR. One of our buddies owns his own production company and he brought with him a "little bit" of sound equipment. We nicknamed it the most excessive Ipod dock ever. 8x18" subs. It was a blast, no pun intended.

I made it with fairly tight tolerances on the center ply wood so it kind of pushes the sides of the platform against the bed sides. i didnt secure it in any way. i want to, but i havent figured out a good way yet. itll bounce a little if i hit a speed bump too hard, but overall it stays put.

I used wire tensioners with eye bolts in front and back corners attached to the d rings to "lock" in in securely.
