@MikeLinterman Any word if we'll get quicksand on anything other than the Offroad next year? I may hold off until the fall if I can get a DCSB in Quicksand.
I admit once you posted I started kicking myself because Edmonton was the one place I didn't go shopping around. I went to Ens in Saskatoon and two dealers in Calgary to test drive Tacoma back in November/December. Only had the opportunity to test drive a manual in Calgary and the sales guy was so chatty and pushy I couldn't even focus on the truck. Every day I keep telling myself I should've ordered a white 6mt, not an MGM 6at.
I ended up ordering my MGM DCLB TRD sport upgrade through Silverwood here in Lloydminster.
I've been IM-patiently waiting for 2-3 weeks now, truck was still on the rail as of last Monday.

So, got the truck. It's great! The dealer checked all things I was concerned about except the AT fluid level...citing the sealed unit...contamination...etc. No driving issues thus far...so fingers crossed!!!

When do you think rumours will become news? My local dealers didn't want to answer me, I was desperate for a dcsb off road in quicksand, settled for a sport inferno but might cancel/wait if news will be soon

de-badged, tint front windows, led interior lights, door sill protectors, led b/up lights, 5" factory step rails, yellow turn signal bulbs, added 4 D ring tie downs. Took off the black vinyl stripes between the doors. Changed the grill - from Custom Car Grills, Finally got a tonneau cover put on. 31" light bar ( white & amber ), tailgate light bar, sunvisor covers ( to hide warning labels ), new bedside decals - still too cold to put them on tho. Flag decals to go on too, again too cold still. Got a 2 switch, switch plate to replace that useless cubby hole to the left of the steering wheel.. still to be installed ( hopefully this weekend ). Upgraded the tires to G/Y Duratracs... loving them, no plowing the driveway !!
I had read about the ujoints & ubolt problems, so I asked my dealer Bolton Toyota, to make surethose things were done prior to picking up my new Taco, but neither was done - & then my salesman told me - make sure you give us a good review when Toyota calls - HA HA HA, not a chance.

I did too, because they even offer a money back guarantee if you don't use it in the 4th & 5th yrs. so about 2500.00 coming back to me.

Well my MGM DBSB 6MT sport w/sport upgrade pkg was on the lot for 1 day, and the dealer had 3 offers & 2 other ppl wanting to test drive it, but I had said NO to anyone test driving my truck. Then the day I was picking up my new 1, the seats weren't cold in the old 1 and someone was asking if it was for sale.. lol

By the way, prior to driving your new truck off the lot, you can request a copy of the PDI check sheet used when they (supposedly) do the inspection. Due to all the quirks happening - buzzing, u-joints, non-filled transmissions etc. it might be a good idea. After all, you paid for it.

My Sport + upgrade MGM dclb hit the Vancouver port and should arrive in 7-10 days and I'm having major second thoughts that I should've ordered an dcsb MT instead of a dclb auto. How screwed would I be if I changed my mind and ordered a manual this close to the arrival date?

Depends on the dealer...worth a shot. These things are in pretty good demand so I think the dealer should have no trouble selling it...might be difficult getting you a replacement though. Also depends on your paper work.

Quick question: did it come by boat instead of rail?

Dealership wise probably not much. Waiting for the next one to come.. That's going to be the painful counter reset. Loving my MT.

...if you decide to keep the automatic, you could pretend it's manual with the sport shift feature. ;)
