Picked up a '16 dcsb SR5 4x2, 3 weeks ago. Can't complain about the 25 mpg's. This is my 3rd taco, and 2nd 4 banger. Hate the wheels and actually just picked up some sport wheels today. Gotta pick up some new tires soon and should be all set.

I picked up a white one last Saturday. I'm loving it! Really impressed with the grade shifting too. Only downside is regretting trading off my 07 regular cab.

Congrats ! I just bought a 2016 SR5 access cab, 4x4 with the 4 cyl and I'm really liking too. My previous truck as of four days ago was a Nissan 4x4 double cab. No complaints other than it wouldn't move off of 16 miles to the gallon for nothing. I don't tow or haul anything other than goods from Costco and me and my buddy when we go hunting pheasant a few times a year. Now I'm just having fun changing a few things for my liking i.e.: factory color match fender flares with mud guards, running boards, alloy wheels with Goodyear Wranglers, A.R.E color match tonneau cover, "Bedrug" inside bed. $$$$$$$ oh well

Everyone else still enjoying there 4cyl. I'm within a few days of ordering a Tacoma and I'm having a hard time convincing myself to go v6 because there so pricy. My best route right now is a sr in 4cyl. I feel like I gotta get a manual being my dads frontier is a 4cyl and a manual and it does just fine. Haven't drove a 4cyl auto yet that's why I'm weary

They are, just stalk cars.com and call when one comes in somewhat local. That is what I did. It was on the lot an hour before a called and two hours before I bought it.

Def nicer than the chrome. I bought this for around $300 and swapped it with the chrome grill. 2 screws and 2 pop out tabs later...

I have a DBCB SR auto and absolutely love it. I haven't seen many post about towing so I thought I would chime in. I have a single axle trailer that weighs 1080 lbs unloaded. I pulled about 2000 lbs trailer included the other day about 150 round trip miles and it pulled just fine. On hills the truck wanted to use fourth gear but never had to shift any lower. My mileage on this tank went down to 22.1, hand calculated, which was better than what I expected so I was happy. I normally get 23 to 25 mph. I also have a exp one bumper which added about 100 to 150 lbs to the truck. I'm also about to powder coat some fj 8 hole stock alloy wheels and see if I can squeeze in some 275/70/17 tires. I'll update some pics when I'm finished.

Thanks!! It does well. I have a 2004 Tiburon gt v6 5 speed with exhaust and intake, and the truck pulls just as hard with the ect power on. Normally use it when getting on a ramp for the highway. Most of the time I don't really need it. When not using it I have to push the throttle in to about half way(low gears are real short), and I pull off the vehicles next to me with ease. I just installed tint on it (5% in back and 15% front) and am planning on painting the Toyota emblem black... Rims later on.

Has anyone swapped out the stock rims/tires for OR or Sport rims/tires yet? I've got a set of the sport rims and am looking for the tires I want now but am curious what I'm looking at paying to get the TPMS sensors transferred over to the new ones

You have to buy new tpms sensors if you go from steel wheels to alloys. There something like $50ish a piece I think. Maybe someone else could speak to the cost of new ones for the alloys.

No you don't. I just went from steel wheels to a set of TRD OR wheels that I bought from another member on this forum. Bought a set of Firestone Destination LE 2s. The dealership pulled the existing TPMs from my steel wheels and installed them on the aluminum wheels at no charge. They have to turn them around backwards to make them fit, but they work. They did tell me that they're not responsible if I get a flat and the sensor gets damaged. I figure that if that happens I'll replace the sensors as needed, rather than all at one time.
