You watch your dirty mouth saying stuff like that about Anchorage....I was born and partially raised there, I loved it there, I'd love to go back some day!

LOL I said I liked it! just grew tired of living there because all my family/friends were in the lower 48. I'd go back in a heartbeat, but only for 12-24 months tops... then I'd start missing being in the lower 48. LOL now, if I won the lottery, I'd probably have a couple houses in Alaska, and Oregon... and just travel between them when I felt like it.

Actually I agree, I'd love to go back on vacation for a few months but probably couldn't tolerate living there. When I win the powerball on Wednesday I'll have the funds to buy several vacation homes and you can use them at your leisure!

I tried to extend so I had time to reclass but it was denied. And yeah I'll be in Tacoma.

I was TDY in Korea and got back in February.
I also did 3 years here. And 9 months in Korea so I'm missing this summer and missed last summer :(

Only .40 or 45, if I need to use it I want to make sure I've got plenty of stopping power

my 3 years, I spent the 1st summer working 12 hr shifts 24 days straight... with two days off (memorial day weekend) then worked 12's to 4th of July... then 12's to Labor day. THAT SUCKED. next two summers I was in Iraq 06 May-Oct and Kuwait 07 May -Oct. so I feel your pain. it was quite a wake up on my first deployment leaving Anchorage which had 17" of snow on the ground and 10* when I got on the plane, landed in Qatar at 0300 and it was 90*... went to a briefing when we landed, came back out after sunrise, 115 at 0600 on the flight line, where we had to load/unload bags for the general/Col's... and stunk like all fuck

I carry my shield, but I'm in my truck driving all day so I don't keep it on my person the whole time. I'd like to have a .380 that I can always have in my pocket just in case I run in to gas station or something and don't take my shield.

If you shot someone with a .380 and they found out about it, they'd be pissed!

.38 spl small, freakishly light. I had a .380 micro pistol before the .38 and didn't like it; and after some more thought on the matter I switched to a revolver.

I thought about that too. Probably wouldn't be as comfortable in the rear pocket, but maybe on the ankle.

I keep it in my front pants pocket; with the pocket holster it looks like a large cell phone from most angles.. Only time people can really see it is if I squat down opening the pocket they might see part of the handle if they're behind and to the side of me. Do have to buy pants that aren't tight around the upper legs but I do that anyway.

I wondered how it'd do in the back pocket. My uncle had a bodyguard and liked how it felt. What do you carry? I've only shot the S&W 642 and it was pretty hard to hold onto with the kick.

My wife carries a stainless SIG 380 in her purse with hydroshock rounds in it. I carry a springfield XDM .40 on the small of my back IWB. Love my custom Kydex holster .

Ruger LCR it's not a fun range gun at all but for expected distances in an everyday ccw situation it's good. If it's beyond 15-20 feet I'm either falling back, taking cover, or the calvary is on the way. It kicks but it's managable. Love the trigger on it too.

I'm not quoting or naming names so the topic stays dead if it is, but there is a significant difference between masonry and dry stack anything. One of them involves mortar, and a theoretical whole lot more skill. Now if by 'brick planter' he actually meant 'precast block planter', carry on. /landscape architect soapbox

I like it, but... if I want an MWRAP, I'll buy and MWRAP. You know, like a Marauder.

You see the black and red wire coming out of the firewall here? And how the black runs to a (yellow) ring terminal that grounds on the side on the same bolt the battery does? And the red is on a ring terminal on the convenient bolt on the red battery terminal? That pretty much covers the engine wiring. Though I should point out note the inline fuse in the red wire next to the battery clamp, which typically comes on the CB wiring. On the other end, red and black wire get spliced to the red and black wire on the CB. Or in my case, I put a plug on it for easy connect/disconnect. Wire is also slightly upsized from what's on the radio I don't remember the gauge off the top of my head.
