Xbox 360. It's a cool idea... but for those that have already learned via tabs or already have music theory might find it harder to learn that way.

LOL! Yeah I know, they are expensive. The Blackstar, Bryan was talking about on the last page is a solid amp. I used to have all Peavey, but most are Made in China now.

Depends if you're going tube/valve or solid state. Line 6's older amplifiers were solid especially their modeling amps. I used to have a Flextone II 2x12 and they options were great. My newer Spyder IV halfstack is... okay I guess. You need a way to update the firmware to get even more tones and if you play with it you can get a decent distortion. I'm a tone guy. I also have a Laney GH100S head with EL34 tubes. Running an Ibanez TS-9 in front of the head and the tone for metal and classic rock is just monstrous. I'm still on a constant lookout for marshall and mesa boogie heads though!

I would vote the Duncans. They are much better all-around than the EMGs, you can actually get a clean tone out of them and dial them in for a bit of whatever tone you are looking for. I've owned EMG 81/85s before and they were my least favourite pickup I have ever owned. They are awesome if the ONLY thing you ever want to do is low-end super heavy metal chugging, but even if you wanted a metal lead sound they are really difficult to work with.

I've had a few guitars with a Seymour Duncan JB/59 combo which I absolutely love.

Yeah, you have to go to a store & plug in to a bunch of different ones. Everyone's taste is different. I had an old Crate amp that I loved the tone on, but someone stole it off the stage one night. :(

The drummer in our band bought me one for my birthday, years & years ago. I loved that little thing, some great effects. I wish I could find it!

Mumford & son's, the steeldrivers, and Chris Stapleton are some others I really like.
You got any good music you could turn me onto?

Sweet, I'm always looking for something new. You'd probably dig Ryan Bingham

What's everybody's opinion on wall mounts? I would like to display my guitars on the wall on wall mounts, but don't want to overstress the neck. I know they are hung by their necks in most guitar stores, but not sure of long term issues.

Somebody mentioned Rockman's... I had two, probably still do, no idea where they are or if they still work.

I play a 75 Rickenbacker 325, have Strat's, Tele's, a Les Paul, and a bunch of wtf's. My prize 66 Rick 325 got stolen by a bunch of crackheads (I'm pretty sure they were)... somebody saw it for sale at a garage sale, 25 bucks. They didn't know it was mine or that it was hot at the time. Gone with the wind.

I stored all of mine on wall mounts for a few years, no ill effects so far and they are much safer up there out of reach of my toddler.

I'm all for hiding every single one of them. Never had any good come from having them out.
