I'm sure it's been asked, but I'm not going through all the different threads to find out.

Can I run a bilstein 5100's up front set at 1.75 on the factory coil? Also, will I have to make any additions to the rear, or can I get away with the 1 inch block I already have in the back?

Currently, I'm running Max Trac spindles up front, with a pro comp. pro runner strut, and 1 inch block in the rear. I know the rear isn't ideal as is, but want to add bilsteins in the front without breaking the bank and getting crazy on the rear end.

Any suggestions or photos of this set up would be appreciated. image.jpg

I had the 5100s at 1.75 on stock coils and a 1.5" AAL in back. Truck was level, so I think you'll be a little bit front high. The bigger issue, though, is that the ride is shit because you're pre loading the springs. I couldn't stand it so I eventually switched to ome 884s and set the 5100s at 0. Ride is much better now.

Also, if you don't know this already, you will need to do the EGCS bushing swap for pretty much any front lift. I didn't see it before I did mine and had to tear everything apart again. Lots of info on tacomaworld about that.

EDIT: Never mind the EGCS, I see you're a prerunner now.

Love my TRD OR coils and 5100's set at 1.75, the ride is stiffer but its a much more pleasant stiffness as the truck doesnt feel as boatlike as before.

I did end up getting lightracing UCA's as caster at 1.75 just wasnt enough for my liking.

image.jpg I'm completely pleased with what I'm running now. Just for future. My ride is great, stance is exactly where I wanted it, so all is good.

I actually saw another guy running what I believe I described in my initial question. It looked good. He had a little more rake on his then how mine currently sits, but he had a little more space between tire and front wheel well. Just trying to get some feedback. And I like when others throw up pics of tgeir trucks.

I'm running 5100's at 1.75" on stock coils. 1.5" AAL in the rear and I still have rake. Little more level than stock. Works well for me as I often pull a trailer or have a full bed. Ride quality is great in my opinion.

That's cool. Looks good. I know mine has quite a bit more rake than that. I sit higher in the front end, but that's what I was going for. I actually just added a strut spacer to my front end, and I have the max trac spindles. My pro comp strut feels fine, I just like to see what others stance looks like before I jump in and buy more parts.image.jpgyou can see the rake here in the photo. Once I added the strut spacer, it gave me like an extra half inch up front. I haven't really measured, but I'd guess I'm about an inch or so higher in the front end.
