Picked it up from dealer with correct transmission fluid amount and..... it's exactly the same as it was before lol

 

I have the Yakima Bedrock. Solid, and allows me to have lockable storage with my skybox without breaking the bank on a canopy...yet. And if I want the full bed space, it takes about 5 seconds to get the whole thing off.

 

And the fishing was decent. Picked up a few throughout a beautiful day. Just waiting on the salmon fly hatch here I a couple of weeks on the deschutes!

 

took my truck in for 5k service about two weeks ago, and they refused to check trans fluid because they couldn't replicate the issue I was having. they wouldn't rotate my tires, or change my oil. they also told me that my radio was shutting off because it needed an update, but an update didn't exist.

so I went to another dealership, and they done everything besides the radio at no cost.

 

Damn!! Sounds like you need to report that dealership to toyota. Is that the one you bought your truck from?

 

yeah. the one I bought the truck from is the one that wouldn't work on it.

I'm keeping on good terms until they fix my rock chips in my door, since I have the staynu warranty they offered.

 

That's a great way to treat a customer. I would never do business with that dealership again.

 

same dealership that wouldn't give me two referrals, because the salesman I bought my truck off of got fired.

 

Yup, I would be calling toyota and reporting that dealership for everything.

Today I changed my oil. I have 1700 miles. I know some may say waste of money. The full synthetic OW-20 oil was free 6 quarts and I had purchased a case of filters. I also ordered the aluminum replace upgrade element holder with removal tool.

So here is what I found.

1st I was surprised there was absolutely no metal at all. I ran the oil through a filter and even shined my Navy Seal flash light to detect the shavings. None not a spec.

2nd. Oil was surprisingly dirty , I could not see through it. So with that being said every 5K for sure.

3rd good info on Toyota oil filter box it say to tighten to 25ft lbs.

I hope this helps others , struggling with deciding on a premature oil change .
Go the 5K then change it.

 

I am looking for some options. I installed a Yeti bottle opener in the bed. I had to remove it to install a much needed AMP bed extender. Now I have 4 holes. Until I find a solution , i put some flush head screws in it with RTV.

Any ideas , welding may be in the near future.

 

Mine is steady at 80 mph. It's all in how they apply the anti-flutter adhesive at the factory which should be by a robot.
