Truck looks awesome man!!!! Insanely similar design wise to how I built our race truck! On those center tubes that are running thru the firewall to the "A" at the center of the windshield... Do you have a tube or any support between the bypass mounting location and where it ties into the cage inside the cab going down to the frame rails? If not and if you don't plan to... You might want to give it some serious thought! While ours aren't EXACTLY the same, they're similar enough that I would highly suggest you add that if you want some advice from a been there done that situation... LOL I currently have the engine out of our race truck strictly for that addition on a setup that's basically a spitting image of what you've built! Like I said though, the truck looks awesome man! Nice work!!!

    This is 1.75"x.120 DOM...

Mid race repair to get us another 450 miles to the finish line...

Post race clean up, added some bracing, enough to finish our race schedule at least and get me to right now where I have time to actually tear it down and give it the extra work it needs to be 100 good finally... Just bought myself some time with this patch and some extra bracing underneath you can't see basically.

Our overall design, I'm sure you'll see the similarity...

We have a bypass shoved in there too just like yours... Just hard to see...

Alright guys I'm at the point where I'm starting over with shocks and if I'm going to switch to fox, now is the time. I would like some input from anyone running them if they have any problems, etc. fox's are a little more than kings prerunner series but less than the race series by quite a bit. I'm leaning towards fox cause of the stainless shafts and a shop down the street has them in stock. Also fox's look nicer to me as far as quality, anyways I'd like to know what everyone thinks

Fox Factory series shocks which is what you would be running would be comparable to a King Race series shock.

Never on Tacoma world buy im planning on building the rear of my truck soon and was looking at FOA Bypass shocks. Why is that a bad choice? I thought one of the original starters of King shocks broke off and started FOA? any input is great want to build already haha

People who took them apart when still new had problems finding shavings and broken shims, etc. Just not as good quality, I hear they're getting better but yeah not as reliable as fox, king, swayaway, or icon from what I read on dr

It's a buget shock. You pay for what you get. They typically aren't machined well. Tolerance is all over the place. They don't hold a charge well or the seals won't last long. If you are just driving it street you should be fine.

My prerunner is my daily so its not like im racing the thing but i still like to go out and have fun. My truck is the definition of budget build but im running Fox in the front so ideally i want them in the rear. Thats just my OCD though ha

Because the lt thread is for street queens and mall crawlers? But yes heard the same about their quality. And sadly there are people out there that put too much money into vehicles and never use them even close to their potential. Sad. They should give me some money for my truck and I'll just take them for rides once or twice a year when they feel like it

If trying to do it on a budget, I'd honestly go for used Fox smoothies to match your front even though bypasses look great. It's a lot less work. You can do some pretty good stuff with smoothie shocks. My shocks are still on the same seals since 2011 and still hold nitrogen great.

Some people really just want the look. I'd figure foa would be great for that, little fire roads or very easy desert driving. If you want to hit whoops at speed and jump maybe look at the big name stuff.

Yeah I was considering foa for my dd as stock replacement coilovers, wouldnt care since I would just want it for better ride on the street and the occasional dirt road if im camping, wouldnt run them with my longtravel kit personally, pita to mess with a shock for no reason.

Normally cheaper to find some used name brand shocks, bring them to me and I'll rebuild them and custom valve them for you
