So we get 12" of fresh snow and I warm up the truck for some play time. Head out to a big empty parking lot and drop it into 2wd. Then I turn the wheel and punch the pedal. The engine roars and the tires break loose. Just as the back end begins to slide around in a perfect arc..............IT STOPS!!!

Its like my wife programmed my truck to not allow me to have fun. So how the hell do I override this 'wife' feature?

    I wanna do donuts!!!

    Oh...I have a 2009 TRD Sport.

Maybe I need to read the book again but pressing the VSC button did nothing at all.

Hold the button down, I had the same problem... thought I bought a truck I couldn't play around with! It's all better now that I figured out how to turn off all the fun killing stuff.

Ok...so I think I figured out my problem - the VSC switch is not working. When I'm in park or in gear and the vehicle is stopped, pressing that switch does nothing. I even tried holding it down (as the book indicates) to turn off both features but no indicator light came on the dash.

I had that part of the dash apart to install my bed lights. I thought I put everything back together but I guess not. I'll have to take it apart to see what happened.

    Crap....I want to have fun!

And yes, my 1st gen had no problem spinning me dizzy! She could twirl like a skilled ice skater.

How do you pop the switch out? Just stick a small screwdriver under the edge and pry it out?

I have only ever removed the whole dash to access those harnesses. There is a good possibility I forgot to plug the harnesses into the back of those switches.

Does anyone know if those switches light up at all? Are they back lit when the headlights are on?
