Haha! I can't stand a spider. Come out to the house one evening and do a little work in the garage. You're probably going to see a wolf spider the size of Texas try to make his way in. It's OK though. I have a blowtorch. The really bad are the ones with 457,000 babies on their back. Usually takes some Acetone coupled with the blowtorch to handle that invasion.

The above is correct and they are red and black. Remember trying to stomp them to death when I was a kid and they are incredibly hard. Best technique was to take your shoe and roll them on the ground quickly while putting as much weight as possible on them.

My dad was air force, so I've lived in 14 different states. Born in long beach California. Favorite place I've lived was lake havisu arazona.

Born and raised for 24 years in California. Been here for amost 22. Growing up never thought about getting bit by any bugs. Just had to watch out for rattlesnakes.

I have, I just didn't have it on at the meet. I like the look better without it personally but it does serve a good purpose. I want a shell though :(

California. There were plenty of bugs, just not near the amount or size of those here. A cockroach in your home meant there was a serious problem. All we had to deal with was bears, cougars, coyotes, rattlers etc

I met one of those giant spiders my 3rd night here, I might have screamed like a girl...

Hey TW. I have been looking for some areas around the Birmingham, Cullman area or somewhere in between for trail riding and maybe some camping. I have recently moved back to the state after being gone for about 19 years. It seems that all the places I went to growing up is now developed or private land. If anyone has any areas they r aware of please let me know. Thanks for the help.

    Welcome to our thread!!

Stony Lonesome. Off Road Park just South of Cullman. I don't know many more than that, but others in this thread will be able to provide more input.

I've never taken my truck there, but I've been for mud runs lol. It's a really big park with a lot of different "difficulties" as far as trails go. Some of the guys on here have been and can probably provide their opinions on it. It's cheap too I think, like 10$/day?

Ok thanks. I think I will checkout their website also and see what I can find out. You would think here in Alabama there would be tons of places to go. Lol. Funny how things have changed over the years as far as places to ride.
