Cleaned the engine bay. I didn't bother covering anything. I just went to town with the spray. The "shine" spray really added the finishing touch. PhotoGrid_1462377030522.jpg

I love gunk products. They do the job and dissolve grime without eating the plastic.
A long time ago, I used a spray cleaner called "Steam Engine Cleaner". You only needed one can, as it had the cleaner and protectant in one. It had a great smell to it, I think it was all the silicon in it. Anyways, anyone remember that stuff? Can't find it now, so I use the 2 can Gunk method.

What's the difference between Gunk's engine cleaner spray and engine degreaser spray, just strength?

Hmmm, I assume so. The back of the can mentions 3 cleaners. "Foamy" being the weakest of the 3.IMG_20160504_120435804.jpg

The strength of the emulsifier. In my opinion, get the strongest stuff cause you can always use less.
BTW, don't clean the engine in your driveway. It leaves nasty mess. Park on the street or use a car wash.

    nothing cool
Did my 30k maintenance. Dad did my plugs and we both did my fluids. My only recommendation would be be to put the truck on ramps to remove the skid plate and break the front transfer case plug free. Then back down to flat ground and change the fluids. Only reason being my breaker bar was too long to get good leverage on the plug without hitting ground.

Truck feels like it's driving great.

LOL, I wish. He let's his 3,000 dogs loose on the property, so it has gates all around. I suppose I could do an engine cleaning right out front in the street. Public property, you know ;)
