They will if they keep losing sales because of it. If they don't lose sales, it won't matter and they won't do anything about it. CR's recent review mentioned nothing about the buzz so their truck did not have anything noticeable. At this point, it may just be a small percentage of us who either have the problem bad enough (my numb hands on long trips) or actually notice it, anyway, and are annoyed that a $30-40k truck does this. My case is supposedly closed as "functions as designed", so who knows what Toyota is really doing, if anything, about this issue.

I would reopen another case. That is what I will do if mine is shut. Looks like close to $4000 loss on the same f150 i almost bought for the same price when looking. Like my Tacoma but getting really disappointing. Wish the Ranger was out. it was rated in the top ten higher than the tacoma as all time best off roaders. http://www.fourwheeler.com/project-vehicles/131-0606-best-4x4-trucks/

It could really come down to driving style as well. The fact that people can say they test drive multiple on the lot and they have it doesn't correlate with it being a small percentage of owners. I don't know what typical RPM range the auto stays in, but I know if I drive harder, accelerate faster and prolong gear changes I don't notice it nearly as much as if I am trying to drive to maximize fuel consumption.

In any case it is still annoying and I am hoping for a fix. If I'm not mistaken it does seem to be limited to 4x4 vehicles though correct? Or have 2wd cases been popping up?

To add more to the pot I can now confirm that it is not nearly as prevalent in that RPM range in 1st gear. In fact, it is similar to revving in neutral. So now we have that. 2nd gear is hard to tell since I have that other lower speed vibration playing into things, but I'll try to pay better attention. 3rd and up it is there for sure.

We'll get it to you late 2018, likely as a 2019 model. Not soon enough, but it's going to happen!

Do the auto transmissions have a 1 selection? If so, anyone with an auto want to put it in 1 and rev down the road at 2100-2400 rpm?

My Local dealership just called. He is opening a case to see if Toyota Corp is looking into it or dismissing to normal. At this point a little hopeful. He is the manager and has lifted tacomas and a member here. Now to get him in my truck since one of his techs tested it. Said he will contact in a couple and leave the lift off till he can get it back on the rack. Looks it is only a 6 cylinder thing. Crossing fingers.

No, that is not correct; there are numerous reports of 2wd cases.

Yes, the auto trans has a 1 selection. I tried it back in October 2015 and it is there; however, not as prevalent as it is in the higher gears... I spent an entire loop of 514 miles through the Navajo Nation screwing with the vehicle when it was new, trying to pin down the vibration, checking it in every manual selection gear in the RPM range. It's there in all of them.

Is everyone noticing it on the gas pedal or the "foot rest" bump for
your left foot? The foot rest is where I really notice it bad, not so
    much on the gas pedal.

Yes I feel it a lot in the dead pedal, floorboard and gas pedal. It can be so much so in the gas pedal that my foot actually starts to feel like it is going numb or falling asleep. This is more pronounced as I move to higher RPM'S to make the steering wheel vibration stop. Although, I'm not dismissing that it could be there with the steering wheel as well and I just don't notice it as much.

Then again, if I'm sitting in a parking lot with the truck off and another truck drives by with just the "right" noise level, I feel the same buzz in the floor board as they pass. Same on the freeway, loud exhaust motorcycle or car/truck passes and it amplifies the vibration in the floor.

I feel it in the gas pedal; however, not as much as in the floorboard, which is bad; however, second to the steering wheel for me...If it was only in the gas pedal, I could live with what I feel there...It is the buzziness in the steering wheel that is forcing me to look elsewhere if they can't fix this as I can't own a $40k local hauler. I need my second vehicle to allow me to travel anywhere I want.

Seems like it would be pretty easy to add a vibration dampening pad to the foot rest.

Interesting... I feel it in the gas pedal, but not at all in the steering wheel.

And that is what is so surprising to me. My steering wheel is ridiculous at 2100-2400 RPM, especially in higher gears on an incline. And then there are people like yourself that say there is absolutely no vibration in their steering wheel. So in one corner we have "it is on every tacoma I have test driven" and in the other corner we have "mine has absolutely no vibration in the steering wheel." I can't see any possible way for there to be none based on how my truck is behaving and the amount of reports I've seen here (but I do take your word for it). I need to find someone that has a vibration free 2016 that I can ride along with.

Even when I gun it on a mountain pass at 70 mph right in that RPM range - nada in the steering wheel. And I'm hyper sensitive to any vibration after reading this forum.
