Spin rod, Ugly Stick 6' medium duty cant remember the reel though... have a decent amount and assortment of lures, we will see

Fish upstream. Downstream fish will see you and laugh.
Meaning, cast up stream and reel downstream. Fish chill with their noses up stream, food doesn't swim upstream, it floats down stream.

6lb test is fine for 98% of Colorado.
But everybody has their preference.
