I have saved some good lures with that freaking braided cable in WY I can pull up freaking logs with my only worry is the rod breaking

Ahhh fresh frish and maybe a surf n turf with

 

Yeah I'm not at all a fan of eating fish, but if it's freshly caught and cleaned properly and cooked properly I can stomach it while out camping.

 

And you call yourself a fisherman! man there is nothing compared to a fresh one cooked up with some steak and taters or corn on the cob

well after not wheeling last few years i finally watched a video that made me throw everything i jave into my truck to get it ready for summer fun. starting the rebuild with 35" stt pro's cant wait to get out again.

Meh...I like catching, but not eating. I'll catch some monsters for you guys, clean, season, and cook them up for you but I probably won't eat any.

whatever... I'm off all day... so plan on finishing up the RTT (still gotta re-install the straps) and tackling re-wiring all my lights, my wiring is a mess! two back to back 80* days really has me wanting to go camping... but the GF has to work... so fuck it... I'm work'n on the truck. LOL

I catch and release all day long too. If it's really big and the cooking is easy, I'll eat it. Otherwise it's bratwurst on a bun.
Fish are a lot of work to eat.

im planning on being there. id like to off road from here to moab but if that doesn't come to fruition, how would we all meet up? id like to try pritchett canyon. ive ran it in a crawler but would like to see how far i can get in my taco.

 

Everybody congregates and meets at Area BFE, probably 85% of people will be camping there as well and that's where trail sign ups are.

 

LOL- Start with some underwater Recon, fully clothed preferably in Camo. Make sure to ingest mucho Agua to get a feel for the fish. When you feel like your drowning, stay down another 10 mins and call it good. Next heavily fortify yourself with beer and or Alcohol, the more the better plus it adds to the viewing pleasure of others. Lastly, spend 8 hours trying to find all your fishing gear, then just as the sun sets make your first cast of the day and claim Mooby dick just hit your lure very loudedly. Then stagger up to the camp fire, dump yourself in a chair and proclaim how much to enjoy fishing in the Mountains! Where the hell is the Fishing Emojii?

Rinse, Repeat.

As for driving offroad as much as possible from the front range to Moab, not entirely sure what's possible. Especially that time of year when all the high country trails are closed.

I've had a thought of doing something like Red Cone - Radical - Swan River - Mosquito Pass - Independence Pass - Peal Pass. Obvious a lot of pavement in there, but would be an awesome way to hit a bunch of epic passes in a row. Could get you pretty far East to West. Don't know what possible to get you from Crested Butte to Montrose, where you could hit that new trail to Moab. That wouldn't be doable until late August or September with how it's looking this year though.
