    Yeah, seems like I have to buy the additional plastic tanks.

    They said the core is just aluminum.

    no man, just no. If you have to crimp the core to the tanks, you're screwed.
    The new radiator, whatever it is, will be complete to install.
    You will need a...
    New radiator cap
    and maybe change the two hoses too since you are right there
    Maybe some antifreeze too.

    Drop bracket lift and booger welds
    Bigger is for AT IIRC smaller is for MT. But an MT can run an AT radiator but not supposed to run it the other way around.

    Here is a pic of the side tank design, for illustration purposes.

    Here is one with upper and lower tanks. This is your complete radiator new out of the box.

    All radiators are aluminum, the tanks can be plastic or aluminum and are then crimped or soldered to the radiator itself.
    They should come completely assembled. If not, go with another source.

    Suspension, 33s, some armor... Rust, Gray wire and 2Low, and more. T4r is stock.
    If you install a separate trans cooler then the smaller one will work fine in an AT truck. A separate trans cooler also prevents the dreaded Strawberry Milkshake that the 4Runner guys are always worried about...

    I got some rustoleum industrial strength under coating at autozone that is surprisingly durable. It comes in a spray can, that's the route I would go. I also got some rust neutrilizer gel that will take it down to clean metal in about 10 minutes. Whatever you do just make sure there is zero rust before you seal it, if it's trapped in there it'll just make it worse

    Is this clearance normal between 285s and the spindle? I'm gonna get spacers sooner or later but man the tire is like 2mm away from the spindle

    The auto tranny radiator is bigger but that is because the lower section of it is the tranny cooler. The manual radiator is actually bigger in size all around.

    Or order a 2.4l radiator and trim the shroud and replace the bottom hose so the radiator sits flush with the bottom of the frame.

    Thanks, I was looking at rustoleum products. I saw the undercoating stuff. Looks rubberized. I have been reading threads that say to stay away from rubberized stuff do to it trapping in moisture. But that is exactly what Toyota used during the recall. I think I am going to start out with Rustoleum Rust Primer, then do the undercoating.

    Ya I would do a self etching primer or something to get a good base coat and good bond. Check out that rust gel, it's pretty awesome stuff

    I beg to differ or what you said was bullshit.
    My stock radiator was pretty tall. then when I went to replace it I ended up with a much shorter radiator. It still had the cooler part for the tranny. but it was for a 2.7 not the 3.4 So you just might be right for the 3.4 :D

    I gave the dealership my VIN. They gave me an OE part number that was cross referenced by the radiator place. It is the 20.5" radiator for my truck.

    Picking it up tomorrow.
