Got a phone call from the guy who I called about's lawyer. The call was 2 years ago. The guy was in a huge Chevy diesel at the drive through at In n out, basically trying to hit other cars, driving over the curb and trying to light stuff on fire by throwing a bunch of lit cigarettes into the bushes.

I asked how they got my info (they used my name in the phone call), and they said they got it from the 911 operator. I know they get my info from my phone, but I hoped to stay anonymous to the drivers legal team at least. The guy told me that 911 gives addresses, names, and numbers out. Why would I want a guy like that having information like that on me?

Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's illegal for the lawyer to give my info to the client, but still so weird. I'm definitely gonna think twice. If the guy wasn't a total ass, I wouldn't care as much but the guy seemed dangerous.

Pretty sure nothing will come of it. Also don't want to go any further with it. Talked to one of my professors who is a lawyer. He said they can if the defense attorney is given to him by the county as opposed to him providing his own. They are bound to not give my info to the client though

For those of you that have painted the chrome grill piece, did you remove just the chrome piece or tape over the rest of the grill and paint? If you removed just the chrome piece, how?

Pretty sure its plastic welded in so you would be able to melt it out. Not sure how you'd reconnect it.
Homer taco has a write up

From what I remember for my 12' there were just clips that just popped off. No melting needed.

    Edit: not my write up.

This is the DIY short version.
On my 2007 there are 2 bolts that hold the grill down and two plastic clips on the head light bracket that hold the grill in. Pop those off to get the Grill off your truck. Then there are a bunch of plastic tabs that hold the two pieces of the grill together. They are plastic welded or melted to hold grill together. I think you have to Dremel them out.

The Rubber weather stripping is just held in by little plastic things. You can see how they are held in after you remove the grill from your truck.

Paint it yourself or get it painted.

    Reassemble.

    Here's mine.

The easiest way is to just buy a color matched one and just swap them.

It doesn't necessarily need to come off, I'm just wondering the best way to paint it.

I taped mine off, i think ours you have to melt the tabs a little bit to get the two pieces separated.
