The spring its self makes it hard to tune. The antenna starts where the coax ends. So that spring increases the effective length of the antenna making it tune out of by length. Being that most Firesticks are tuned by a adjustable bolt there is not enough room to get a tune. A Tiger antenna is tuned by trimming the wire so it is possible to make it short enough for correct SWR.

i don't think using the spring with the firestik is a good option, reading what brian was saying adding the spring is what makes it hard to tune. Someone should just pick up this and take the spring out and then tune it and it will be A OK!!!

It might be a faulty antenna, but there's nothing wrong with Firestiks. If I were having trouble getting that thing to tune, probably the first thing I'd do is eliminate the spring to rule it out. Aaaaanddd other people have already said this.

Oh, I thought this would be a come get it type of thing.

If you really want me to mail you the spring I can. That is if I can get the antenna off of it. I seem to remember it being "Jon'd" on there.

How many do you have left? By the time I saw your post, it looked like you already had three of them lined up. If someone dropped out, I might be interested in a set of two.

Awesome, what's your asking price for the tires and wheels together? The soonest I'd be able to pick them up would be this weekend.

I'm asking $250 for both, since they've only got 6,000 miles on them and basically look new, especially so after I shined them and washed the wheels.
