    Hello guys!

I am a little new to TacomaWorld, I have been seeing a lot of projects that I wanted to do on my 2014 Tacoma.
I mounted my lightbar on my lower bumper put I did not cut out the plastic pieces, it stuck out a little so I removed it. My main question is, if I cut out the bottom pieces on the bumper will the light bar fit better and how did you guys mount yours?

    Thanks a lot,

    Kyle

If you're talking about the plastic webbing, I cut mine out with a hack saw blade and my light bar fits perfectly. Some leave the webbing so the light bar doesn't sit flush with the front of the truck. I prefer the flush look.

I think the size depends on the year model. Mines an '08 and I've got two 8's and a 20 incher in mine.

I mounted a 20" double row light bar in the lower valence behind the bumper so it was stuffed inside a little bit. Jerry rigged some mounts out of aluminum stock and found some holes in a cross member to bolt them to. Cast plenty of light back there and kept it protected. I put a plate winch bumper on since then and mounted the light bar in the same spot, but more conveniently to the bumper itself this time. 2015, by the way.

There's no need for you to cut any plastic if you mount it behind the grill.

I added the two 8's later, all single row 10watt. To me the 10watt emitters seem to "throw" light further because of the deeper reflectors typically found on them.

    Shwing.

I had planned on getting the same grille insert too, only in flat black. so that should hide it all pretty well.

might leave the bottom one out though. depends on how hot it gets when the LED bar is on.

Mounted my 30 inch and didn't cut anything.

This single row bar has more output than the double row, though I prefer the aesthetics of a double - not worth the decrease in output.
