Sticker was $41.5, they came to me with $39.5, I walked out with it at $37.8. That's a 4x4 Limited.

Agreed. The only thing I like about it is the usb plugs in the back. I could care less about the cables. I don't have an android and I at least 5 extra iPhone cables. Who even uses a plug in charger anymore?

New jersey dealers are very stingy on these trucks. I would seriously consider PA or MD. There are very willing to work on them..

Im waiting for my TDI to be bought back but have been shopping around for a few months and thats what i have came up with.

Double cab TRDOR in MD can be had for 32000-33000 depends on the dealer and no fees attached to truck. Just have to pay sales tax to nj which can be done with those dealers as well.

Phonaka in salisbury and koons in easton or westmisister want to make deals.....

damn that's a good deal for a double cab. I talked them down to 32,500 on an access cab where I live, and I thought that was a good deal. Had 2k worth of accessories, dunno what you are talking accessories wise on that DC TRDOR but even with no accessories they are more expensive than an access cab.

Koons easton and westminster in MD are great and so is pohanka in salisbury.

Truck is just the TRDOR with tow package. I don't want or need all of the fancy do dads.

Dealing with a dealer right now (who shall remain anonymous). I am looking for a OR 4x4 M/T + Tow no options. I called and he basically said getting the M/T is harder so they won't deal as much on an order (which is what I would have to do). I am attaching his pricing breakdown. I somehow think I could do better but maybe not since our M/T unicorns are so precious. What do you guys think?

Here is what his e-mail said:
    "
Here is the closest invoice that I can find for you. I cannot sell this vehicle for $1,453 under invoice, which would actually be $1,952 under invoice because I don't have a dealer handling fee like every other dealer in town. Our pricing is $700 off of MSRP because of availability and demand. I have almost filled all of my orders on this build but it has taken a long time for them to be filled because this is the hardest vehicle to get from Toyota right now. I'm not sure when that master list was made but the Tacoma did just have a price increase, which isn't reflected based on the MSRP difference on the sheet. The base MSRP of this Truck with no options is $32,460 plus the tow package and destination fees. That list states that it doesn't include delivery processing and handling from Toyota. My invoice will break everything down for you so there are no confusion on what the real cost of this Tacoma is. I hope you can understand that our pricing is aggressive and straight forward based on the truck you are looking at. If you were looking at an automatic Off Road, we are priced much more aggressively because of availability. The sooner we get the order in the better. We are in the middle of an allocation week and we could get what you are looking for this week but I can't hold it without a deposit. Let me know if there is anything else that I can price out for you or if you have any other questions.

you should be able to talk them down a bit at least.

Here is what they wanted (after their initial "maximum discount"):

Here is what they told me it cost them to bring the vehicle into the dealer (take this with a grain of salt):

Here is what we agreed I would pay for the vehicle, before tax and registration:

It's nice to know there are at least a few dealers out there willing to work with you on price. I had to go 130 miles from where I live since all the dealers in my area are convinced that tacomas are made out of gold. I wasn't able to get the one in my town to go anything below a $500 credit. I think the size of the town has a lot to do with it. I live in a town of about 60,000 people and the dealer has had exactly 3 new tacomas since the gen 3 was released, 2 of which were sold before they arrived. The dealer where I purchased my truck had 9 sitting on the lot.

I live in a smaller town too but I am dealing with Denver dealers since there are obviously more dealers there and Denver is only 100 miles from me.

I am flying out of state to get mine. Still much cheaper than buying locally.
