He charged me about $50 so looks like it took him a little under an hour to do it. I definately could've installed it but i dont really care haha it was worth it to just get all of this done.

serious question... how would you use that to HEAT water when the whole purpose of it is to COOL the liquid? or would the fact that without air flow it would absorb enough heat to be warm? just curious

ok, I was thinking along that, but wasn't sure if the radiant heat would be enough to heat the water efficiently (ie over a shower's length) or would he have a couple seconds of hot water then cold once the tanks capacity was replaced with fresh water...

It would work on the same principle as a block heater.
There would need to be a reservoir plumbed into the radiator.
While you are driving and the engine is hot, the water in the tranny cooler portion will heat up as well due to heat transference. At that point it will actually self circulate, supplying hot water to the reservoir.
As far as temp, I have no idea. 188 engine temp, maybe a little cooler, seems plenty hot to scald one's ass. :D

Haha thanks man, I waited a while so I could get them together.
It feels like it's been forever, but it was worth the wait!

Nice! I wish I could afford that right now!

Just splurged on this "new" (not new at all) Leer shell with old school yakima bars. I got it for what I felt was a really good price, and i like the flip out side windows.

    That's a sweet shell!
I was fortunate enough to have gotten one with my truck, however, it does have a huge crack in the rear corner of it. Lol

Thanks! Does the crack cause water to leak? That would be my only concern, though probably an easy patch job.

I don't think it leaks, but it's not a pretty crack.
I'll probably patch and paint it this summer once it's dry out. The other funny thing is that they don't make the brand (Innovations) anymore or parts for it, which proved to be a pain in the ass when I replaced the latch on it haha.

This shell has luckily been garaged in CA and I see no rust on it, I hope to keep it that way!

Due to the recent mechanic that used the wrong socket to remove my supercharger fill plug, it's now stripped. Can't find one locally so I have to spend $50 just for a plug

So just did an oil change on my truck, while under there I realized that I'm missing a bolt for my skid plates. It's one that is on the rear of the first plate that connects to the cross bracket. Seems to be a 14mm head, not sure on the length. Was just curious if anyone new the dimensions of it so I could grab it at a hardware store, or should I just go through Toyota?
