Hi all, new to forum and from the West Coast. Looking to finally move to getting a pickup by the end of the year and may wait for the 2017 TRD Pro. New to off-roads and trucks but love the outdoors. Cheers.

I have no doubts that the dealer would sell it quickly, the only reason I ordered it was to get Colour preference, first choice was white, then MGM or black.
The dealer I dealt with hasn't had a single manual on the lot yet! I had to drive 6 hours (to Calgary) to test drive a manual dcsb and the salesman was so chatty and pushy I couldn't even focus on the truck, I won't be going to Stampede Toyota for anything again.
Paperwork wise everything has been done for a Dclb auto sport + upgrade page, sliding in to a manual would reduce my purchase price. I already have a $1000 deposit/Down payment toward a vehicle but nothing has been assigned a vin# yet.
The sport mode MAY BE adequate, but the lack of a third pedal in my last two GMCs has left me missing it greatly. Grew up on a farm where everything was a manual, I drove medium duty and heavy duty semi trucks for 2-3 years, & my first 2 cars were rhd 5 speed and 6 speed Nissans.

According to a few of the people in Toyota I've spoken to they all go by rail from Texas to the Vancouver port to go through customs then by rail still to the distribution centers (Edmonton for Alberta & Saskatchewan) then delivered to dealers on car carriers.

I think MT is well worth the wait. Plus it is cheaper. Can't go wrong with that.

Just picked up my third 2016 tacoma from mike linterman at mayfield toyota.

The transmissions shifts better than my previous ones. also better mileage right off the bat. The serial number is xxx8011

Im thinking toyota has done some reprogramming of the ecu/trans on the latest production run.

Quite the opposite. all three have been trouble free. The first one I bought was a trd sport with upgrade, sold to buy a limited in white, then sold that one after 10,000 kms to buy my Black limited.

Both trucks went to the US.

I have a small collection of cars (2006 lambo, 911 turbo, 66 Nova ss, 1931 Ford Pick up, 1936 Ford phaeton, front engine dragster plus a handful of bikes)

But i drive the tacoma 99% of the time.

4k on it went for just under $46k that was when the exchange rate was better. today you can expect around $41k can for the same truck if sold to the US.

Where you the fellow who had the white 2015 to trade in?

Do you need to know, or care?
I'm curious as to why you would buy your truck in Edmonton but appear to live in Van?

Jasonmcvic lets hear how much mike is selling these trucks out the door, then Sam, Garry, Casey can tell us their real prices. Ps there the other salesman there but you know that if you've been in there a few times.

I went to trade my sierra in and they suggested Americans are snapping them up due to the dollar, I got nearly my private asking price so maybe thats where they have sold it, I haven't dropped it off yet and they told me its sold lol

Man I wish, I've had my Hummer H3T Alpha up on Kijiji & autotrader since the end of November, had all of seven calls and only three people come for a test drive. I was offered 35k from two separate strangers in downtown Calgary an hour apart, caught me off guard and I didn't accept either offer, regretting it now.
Just wish the exchange was a little better, would far rather have a DCSB than a DCLB, especially in quicksand!
