IDK sucked some water up in the engine so i cleaned the air filter and throttle body and now the engines making an extremly weird noice

 

hmm, couldn't tell you what happened, but get some new plugs, change the oil and go from there i'd say

 

Did all that, im pretty sure my dumbass destroyed my truck, thing that gets me though i didnt hear anything till today and this happened yesterday.

 

I don't think you did, usually it would "hydrolock" but then it wouldn't run.

I hit the hole and the engine kinda died out as if you were to flood out a carburator. cranked it for a bit and she started right up. Ill try give me a second

if you sucked water into the engine it would hydrolock and that'd be that. Because it still starts and runs, i'm sure you didnt help matters, but it will be okay. new plugs, and maybe have a mechanic take a peek (unless youre good under the hood), and you'd be set.

 

I changed the oil and it was a bit milky, is it possible i could of messed up my oil pump and thats why i only here it at higher RPMS?

 

Im pretty sure i did suck water in there because the air filter was soaked and the throttle body was muddy on the inside. i didnt submerge the whole front end just hit the hole fast enough to splash water under the hood and i think it just drowned the engine out.

 

Coulda messed up a bunch of things.. but you're still running.. so.. couldn't have been all that bad. Id suggest getting it to a mechanic to do a once over.. He'll charge you an hourly rate (80-90 bucks is a good deal) and just have the dood O.K. the truck. It'll be worth the peace of mind.

 

Well iam a mechanic and i cant figure it out, i even had my friend look at it hes a WMU grad with alot of experience and he cant even figure it out. It runs fine but around 2600 RPMS and higher it makes a weird ticking noise, to be honest it almost sounds like when you suck a little bit of water through a shop vac or something. Its only on the driver side where my valves are ticking as well.

 

If thats the truth, and youre runnin a bit rough even after an oil change, you probably need to just change your plugs and you'd be set. All the water that was in the engine has since been burnt off..

Start with plugs and check your wires (i'm dead sure those are okay)

EDIT - have you done the plugs yet then?

 

Yes sir, put some E3 diamond fire in there.

 

Quick, put a forsale sign in that thing, park it out front and get away from it as fast as possible. Your best bet is to dump the truck since you have trashed it.
