Do the retrofit!! Best mod ever!!! Go through theretrofitsource and you can get 25% off as a TW member! They have a group buy page on here with the discount code.

It's really not that hard at all. The especially if you not doing halos or anything. I would buy new headlights though that are clear without all the lines

Like 10 minutes out of town, Redfleet State Park in Utah.
My problem is I don't know what I need, all the little bits and pieces and wiring harnesses and stuffs.

    Here is the headlights.
    http://m.ebay.com/itm/1997-2000-Toyota-Tacoma-Euro-Style-Black-Crystal-Headlights-Replacement-Pair-/190875717603?fits=Year:1998|Model:Tacoma&hash=item2c71144fe3:g:sjMAAOSwymxVRrpL

    And buy the kit.
    https://www.theretrofitsource.com/c...orimoto-mini-stage-3-kit-h1.html#.Vyvoz_lOnqA

Boom done. You need to choose what sealant you want, what shroud you want, and a wire harness. Can't remeber what one you need exactly. Go to the group buy thread and they will know! It's really not hard!

Do some research on Google, ask guys here if you have questions. It's not hard to figure it out all the information is on TW. Just got to look.

It'll all come with time. 350-450$ is a lot to drop on lights for me... Even if they would make me get all the bitchs...

If you didn't get anything in the kit that cost extra, besides the sealant.....

$282 with the 25% off is $212. Plus the $100 for the new headlights. So $312. They are so worth that as well you will wonder why you never got them sooner! Lol

morimoto is top of the line stuff and i dont think necessary. buy the projectors and you can find much cheaper decent hid kits with the harness for under $100

My first set of retros cost about $175 alltogether. ebay housings, hid kit, shroud, used morimotos.

Upgrading the projectors now because of heat damage

if slow ass toyota put projectors in their new trucks, then you know that that technology is outdated.

+50 for whatever harness I'd need. Believe me it's something that's on the list.
Light bar is also on the list... My list is stupid long... I hate not having money.

And yes I do work as much as they let me. When summer rolls around and schools out I'll be more financially stable (fingers crossed)

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Got the transmission out today. Blocks heading out hopefully Monday for machining and I'll start pulling the engine in a week or so
Surprisingly only broke 2 bolts.. Not bad for over 14 years and 300k miles of road salt abuse

Buy once cry once. Morimotos are well worth the money. My first set was on my truck for 3 years which included tons of mud, sand, salt, and tons of freezing cold hunting trips along with a few water crossings. Never had any issues only upgraded when they came out with the 3.0s and my old ones are now in another members truck still with no issues.

I had 8 $10 hid ballasts on the truck for almost 2 years and never had a failure. I upgraded the headlights to morimoto stuff after hearing all the hype and seeing them side by side id never know they were 5 times the price.

Didn't do much today, finally got new U-bolts in 800 miles after the rear lift lol. Also got sway bar off, only after cutting and drilling out a bolt on the bracket that stripped. Also snapped the head off another one directly behind it. Also happened to be both on the exhaust side, idk the correlation maybe a lot more heat near them made them corrode faster? Gonna need to get a new bracket and bolts tomorrow then I can get these bushings in
