Mornin' all. Just a few hours between me and a week off from work. Haven't taken more than a day here or there off since November 2014...

I use my high beams on the highway at night. :notsure:
But I also live in a part of the country where it's actually dark at night, there's no street lights for the interstate, and there's large mammals that will make a real mess of your car when they occasionally wander onto the interstate.
And there's frequently no other traffic around, lol.

I agree, the Blue Sea fusebox for most applications is plenty enough for most of our needs. Unless you're doing weekly river crossings the sealed boxes may be the way to go, but your right they are pricey. I thought I saw somewhere someone made a waterproof box out of a Tupperware container with a lockable lid.

If no one else is around then do what you want. I have a lot of trouble seeing at night if there's a lot of glare, it kills my eyes when someone behind me has their brights on

I was in the accord, otherwise they'd have gotten the rear facing lights

I'm assuming you already have an autodim rear mirror. Get the blue tint film for your side mirrors. My friend's father's A4 had that back when we were in HS and it was amazing how much better it made things when I'd borrow the car at night.

I tint my windows as dark as I can getaway with and that helps with the glare coming from the side mirrors

I bought a Ford so the side mirrors auto dim along with the rear view mirror.

Mirrors are pretty solid. Lately it's been the brakes remaining attached to the truck that's been an issue.
