TCM = Transmission control module, also resets the ECU - Engine control unit.

I simply disconnected the negative on the battery for 10 minutes, didn't lose any presets, phone connected etc.. just the trip mileage

I did not know the differentials had breathers. Why are they needed and why do you need to extend it? I thought the differentials were sealed units.

No, the breathers let air out, but if you submerge them then they will allow water in and it'll mix with your oil.

Excuse my ignorance, but how does air get in? Why isn't it just a closed system?

Not 100 percent but guessing it helps maintain the gasket seals and cooling. There is allot of friction happening between the ring and pinion. Friction creates heat which heats up the air inside the diff causing it to expand. I'd imagine that heat could cause a good amount of pressure with out a relief source.

Because like above, there is a lot of heat in there and you don't want that storing up in a closed system, you need to release pressure on it.

Ordered a Pop and Lock for the tailgate and a pack of fist grips to try and fabricate a way to hang my halligan bar in the bed so it's not sliding around and beating the living sh*t out of the bed. Really excited for the Pop and Lock as having to keep tabs on the tailgate key has gotten old quick in the short time I have owned the truck.

Mount it to the inside of your tailgate. Push the pop lock remote and ready to rescue
