Mine is just traveling 150 miles. I shouldn't have added the bed lights but thought it would make the camper shell wiring go smoother. I saw them installed at the dealer and it was nice and clean. Should've done them myself and I'd likely be driving today.

My dealer said that they were running a little longer due to checking all of the transmission fluid in port. Out of curiosity, did you have any port installed options?

I had cargo lights installed, predator tube steps, mudflaps, and chrome exhaust tip installed.....not by choice.

What are these bed lights I keep reading so much about? I ordered my truck two months ago and am just now seeing people talk about them. What are they? I too will be adding a camper. Do I need to have these added or I wonder how I can check to see if they are already on my build?

They're pretty cool. They are installed in port, so it's probably not too late for you to add them. They run $189 installed at dealer cost. I like them because they're wired up to the cargo light switch which has 3 positions; on, off, and door. . You can have them come on with the courtesy lights when you hit the remote. I plan to tap the Snugtop overhead light to work with them.

The wait is over. Picked up my truck today in Oregon. I drove almost half way back home to SoCal tonight after leaving the dealership.

New to the forums. Just put a down payment on 5/3 on an "order" for a trd o/r with tech package. What's the avg wait time seem to be? I read most of the posts on this thread, but they mostly state the wait time after build date was given. How long is reasonable to allow the dealer to find an allocation truck for me?

Depends on when Toyota accepts your order. usually 6-8 weeks after acceptance. You will receive a temp vin# when your order is accepted.

LOL Mine was built 8 days ago and now it's stuck in Chicago. Was supposed to hit the dealer Saturday but now they pushed it to Monday. I hate waiting.

Sweet! Does this mean I don't have to harrass the dealer about checking my tranny fluid now!

If it were me, I'd check it myself. I got a manual, so I'm not concerned. :)

By the way, I got the call this morning. My truck is en route, if not here already. Should be driving today-tomorrow!

I bought from Kearny Mesa Toyota in San Deigo. I have seen people with better deals than I, But I got $1000 off sticker. That was good enough for me.

Local dealers here in Orange County are asking way too much! At Orange Toyota they had some Tacomas with market adjustments of $5k and they said if I ordered one they would give it to me at MSRP like they were giving me a deal haha.

I've never heard of a market adjustment. What is it? Regional pricing doesn't vary much across the US.
had to look that up a "market adjustment" is money above MSRP that dealers try to charge on hard to get or limited edition vehicles. Ouch!

My wait is over. Built last week (Wednesday, 4/27) and arrived at dealership either last night (Thursday, 5/5) or today so I was able to pick it up this evening. I think I put in the "order" on 3/24 so it wasn't TOO bad.

I am not sure what's worse, when you are a few weeks out, or when you are on the "any day now" wait. My truck arrived in Houston last Saturday, I finally got to pick it up today. Wow, what a long road that was. 5 month wait. Frikin insane. Good luck with all you still waiting. You will be happy in the end.
