I get that when I drive the '69. Stupid high school kids pull up alongside in their little civics and want to race stoplight to stoplight. Depending on the mood I'm in I'll sit there and let them go rocketing off alone when the light turns green. Very occasionally I'll play along and blow their doors off, though.

 

My WS6 was louder than most civics when I revved my engine. The car also rocked side to side too. They usually didn't try after seeing that.

 

Yeah they're like hamsters on crack.

 

The problem I've got is that the '69 has pipes that are just loud enough to have a little bit of a rumble without being obnoxious, so they're tempted to try it. It's got a mild cam in it, and it does rock the truck when I rev it, but it's still fairly quiet. Maybe I should invest in a pair of glasspacks instead, lol.

Mine was quiet under normal driving, but was very loud when revved

 

So do they leg hump girls that are out of their league?

 

Factory exhaust, or did you have something aftermarket on it?

Nice. There's a guy in our business park who owns one, but he's got an aftermarket exhaust on it. It'll split your eardrums if you're within 10 feet of it when he takes off in the evenings.

I liked the Magnaflow. Didn't need anything louder. I could drive that car anywhere without using 1st gear, or ever exceeding 2000 RPMs
