Did you upgrade from the first gen??

 

Nope still got mine im looking for my dad's truck. I would suggest him sliders but it's only 2wd and that truck won't see dirt.

 

Check with @3378jakesr5, he can fab something up I'm sure.

 

Anyone have a stock antenna they wanna part with? I am over this stubby one and my stock one is broken.

 

What's wrong with the stubby? Bad reception?

 

It's okay in the city but anywhere outside of it, its not to good and I plan on being in the hills and mountain areas alot this summer.

 

I've got a stock one off a 2005!

 

Would you take 10 bucks for it?

The rule of thumb is 13" or greater to NOT loose your reception. I cut my stock antenna to 13" inches and it still works perfectly.

 

My antennax is 14" and definitely loses reception more quickly in the mountains than the stock antenna. The quality is the same though as long as it still has reception. Works perfectly in town too.

No sir. Just the stock 2nd gen radio.

 

I don't listen to the radio much anymore anyway. I usually have spotify playing plus my new deck has android auto thar syncs my phone. It's pretty legit

Hmmm I wonder if the JBL system came with an amplified antenna? I will have to do some digging.

I hear you. My Pioneer head unit gets more ipod and Pandora use then radio.
