"Only" a 5000 lb tow capacity. As if that is so much lower than the 6400 on the tow packaged Tacoma. If you're regularly towing near 5k you should have a better tow rig than a van motored Tacoma or Ridgeline anyway.

I don't off road either, I bought my truck to haul bikes and stuff. The Ridgeline would work, but would not really be the right tool for the job--which is why I never considered it when shopping for a truck. I found the bed to be too high, narrow, and shallow for my liking as a motorcycle hauler.

I will admit though, it hits a lot of good points. The trunk is very cool, and i'm sure a lot of folks like the unibody ride.

I don't know the metrics, but the office I work in is doing a lot of construction, and I have delt with a lot of contractors. I've never seen one drive/work with a Ridgeline.

What i'm saying is if you're buying a truck to use as a truck, the Ridgeline may not be on your list. Of course, this is just my opinion.

And if you want a long bed it rules the Ridgeline out...

Do you need to know, or care?
I see the Ridgeline as a popular suburban hauler. Good for hauling the grass clippings, small branches to the waste yard, dump runs with household waste, and running to Home Depot to pick up supplies. Basically light use around the 'burbs. It's got some nice features to appease those who like their gadgetry. Not useful for "serious" off-road use. It'll probably do ok, like the first Gen 1 did, but certainly won't be breaking any sales records.

To you it might not be but to a lot of people it is. Most people honestly don't go off-road. They just want a small truck because the are weekend warriors around the house and need it to haul things from home improvement stores or occasionally grab some mulch or haul things they buy or friends or family need hauled. A full size for a lot of them is overkill and an SUV just doesn't cut it

I understand what you're saying. The Ridgeline will fit the needs of many.

i have a feeling this new ridgeline will actually sell a pretty good amount of units considering what you get for a decent price. GM will see a drop in sales also.

I hope so. I think the old one didn't sell quite as projected because of its looks. The guys that bought it to use it for what it's intentions were, loved it and can look past it's styling. I for one didn't mind the styling so much, and thought the whole vehicle was quite clever.

But like I said, to me I wanted a 'true' truck. I did not consider the Ridgeline. The new one looks like it has a bigger bed (although - still too shallow for me)

If a well equipped one sells for under 40K, they may have a winner here.

I actually don't think the new ones are very appealing looks wise but maybe they will look better in person

Hmm.. Historically, the Ridgeline prices were slightly higher than a Pilot. An EX AWD pilot is about $35K, so I expect an EX AWD to be around $37.

    According to Car and driver.

    Estimated Arrival and Price
Fall 2016, with an MSRP starting at $30,000.

So that means Base FWD starting at 30K ?

the jeep pickup is ugly, had they styled it like the conversion companies do, it would be awesume, instead they cut the window frames off the two back doors and make a box out of it. typical
