I have T-shirts older than you.

I don't either, but I have the keyless entry. There was the standard keyless entry, and then there was one with the alarm that was an upcharge that had the LED panel in the dash. Go ahead and try it, can't hurt anything.

Did an oil change yesterday and today a seafoam treatment along with a new magna flow cat. She's running so much better now that her exhaust isn't all plugged up.

I was thinking of doing a seafoam treatment on my 99. When you say shes running so much better, what did you notice before and after the treatment?

Refer to my last post above. Just had the same issue for about 3 months. Finally had enough money saved and picked up a cat from oriley for $185 and had muffler shop install for $60. No more code so far and I can finally go get smoged.

It helped the idle a bit. Maybe a lil more throttle response from the butt dyno. Haha. The most improvement was replacing my bad front cat with the magnaflow high flow cat.

Regardless did the seafoam since my taco has 369k on it.

It was a lucky guess. For me I was almost positive it was the front because I had been running a race fuel mixture through the truck every once in a while. (Leftover 2 stroke racing fuel)

Pretty sure the premix in the fuel is what was ducking up my cat. It wasn't really clogged visually.. But I feel the difference in how the truck can "breathe."

Yeah. Fuxk the government. So much ethanol in the fuel now that I have to run 50/50 mix of 91 octane from pump and 110 octane race gas. Problem is that I can't let the fuel sit for more than a month or it eats up the 2 stroke oil in the fuel and is almost like running straight unmixed in the bike. Blew up my race bike from this.

So my buddy told me to run all my unused race fuel in the truck so it wouldn't go to waste. Asked him if it was bad for it and he said not at all and that he did that with his wife's car all the time. Obviously he was wrong haha.

Ways you can tell though are:

You can knock on it and see if you hear anything rattling on the inside. (Broken or collapsed cat)

Do a pressure test and make sure you aren't getting way too much back pressure.

And lastly cut it off and look through it with light.

Not in my experience. I have an 04 DC and it differed. The ones I ordered that said they fit weren't right either.

I should add the older looking one is how I cut it to match the one I took off. The new one is how it came "OEM" and it was how the old one came. Had to cut it.

Last couple days at work (forester) Rained today, a little muddy. It's so nice to have a truck like this that handles off road, a lot of new trucks have so much plastic crap on front bumper down low. 4 new shocks/2coils make it ride nicer too.
Don't judge me by the water bottle I had today...hahah
