The video is just under six minutes, but it shows getting stuck and then getting unstuck the next day. We were sitting the truck waiting for help and the children kept freaking out. They thought the truck was sinking and that the adults were content to just let the truck and everyone in it sink into the mud. They never said that is why they were constantly freaking out!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxHOMtDzuDw

The neat part was we saw lightning bugs as the sun went down before our friends arrived to help.

@Alfuh what size/type of CB antenna are you running? I'm thinking of putting a 4 or 5' firestik in the same place you have yours

4 foot Wilson flex here, worked great until my CB took a dump.

Even a 4 foot hits sometimes in drive-throughs, always on garage doors. Where mine is if I want to park in the garage, I take a rag and hold the antenna down and close the window on it.

Lucky for me I don't park in a garage! I guess 5' it is. Maybe this will be motivation to not go through drive thrus anymore....

I gotta check my SWR again since i had to get a replacement tune able tip since I lost the cap and tip out at Citrus in Feb, but holy crap does it have range. I think I was the only one able to talk to the other group when we got left behind when i had to make a 30 point turn to go back and help the 2wd 4runner out of a mud rut at a 45* angle lol. but that other group was a good mile or so further through the woods and all that canopy tree bs. it may have been way farther than that....but I was surprised with how far I could talk to the other guys

Do you have a spring on it? I'd assume so since you hit everything.

of course lol, but this is what happened to the so called "Heavy Duty Spring designed for 5 foot antennas". the bitch was bent at this angle after the first day on the trail lol, so now I have one for 102" whips....but i still need to make sure my SWR is good with it, havent tested it since I left Citrus
