thanks man!!! the owner wasnt too nice to the truck as far as maintenance goes...........but im fixing all that now!! cleaned the throttle body today, and ran seafoam thru the brake booster line, changed the oil to mobil1 5w30, changed the fuel filter......and it had alotta nasty rusty looking shit coming outta it....so that was definitely needed. also......greased every grease zerk i could find under the truck.........they were dry as a bone!!! i still gotta put new mobil1 in the diffs and transfer case, do the deckplate mod and put new spark plugs in.

i hate people who dont take care of their vehicles maintenance!!!

Im with you on that last sentence Will! They are the ones who will kick the door on the truck and blame IT if it fails:(

i guarantee you it likes me better than the previous owner:D!!! that dude didnt do anything but offroad this thing, then put it up wet!!! thats why im giving it some tlc and ultimate care bro!!!! the dude didnt even grease any of the grease zerks anywhere under there.

now my baby has synthetic oil in the motor, grease in the driveline, a new fuel filter(which the old one was nasty as hell,by the way!!), and topped of the rest of the fluids that needed it.....which was all of them:D. gonna do spark plugs next week, etc.,etc, until she is good to go man!!

Thanks Rio:)-you know, a LOT of major nightmares happen with these trucks for one or all of these reasons:
    1. owner is ignorant
    2.owner is negligent
    3. owner is cheap
I bet that last guy was all 3! He is one of those people who never put any real care into the truck because he trades them off every 4-5 yrs! So in comes Will who takes that truck to the next level...the best it can be:) more power to you buddy:D

Do you know if the timing belt is a belt or chain? I'm nearing the time to change mine & would be more proactive if it was a belt.

    Thanks,
    Sean

    The 4.0 1GR-FE is a Timing Chain. The 3.4 is a Belt. :)
