repost from a month ago ;) but I'll be avoiding the ones we saved that are on the fringes of the gangsta neighborhood.

might end up out in the houses for rent area if we can find something reasonable with the dog.

    1. I personally love Spanish Springs area, traffic can be a bit congested during commute times. I've found light timing is done pretty well to maximize the flow during those times, even with heavy traffic you keep moving most the time. I currently live in Sparks near the Wildcreek golf course, would litterally take me 3 minutes to get to the Pyramid/McCarran shopping center from my place, also easy to hit the 395 to get elsewhere.

    2. Traffic in from Stead/North Valleys is TERRIBLE in the the mornings headed south to Reno. I knew someone that lived out there. They moved and within a month said it was the biggest mistake they made. Would often take 30-45 minutes to get into the core of the city from out there rather than the 15-20 it should with clear roads. Especially in snow!

    3. Yes, They're doing construction to help with the traffic, but during the next 2 years it's dicey on how traffic will flow in the area. I havent had much issue yet, I go through that intersection to go down south on Pyramid to the freeway daily.

    4. Auto insurance is pretty standard for rates. It was a tad more for me here than where I moved from in Oregon. I think our 2 vehicles (05 4runner, 14 Tundra) are about $1200/6mo last renewal. I'm 27, wife is 26, both with decent records, insured with Progressive.

    5. Our place is managed through ReMax, rent is easy to pay online. They seem to do OK for us. Nothing much to say positive or negative.

    6. Nothing much that I know of, we'll be busy around my shop though thats for sure!

We're in a similar boat with dogs, 95 pound GSD and 95 pound Husky/Shepherd here.

I have a coilover/taco lean question. Bought a truck it has fox co's on the front nothing fancy just factory IFP extended travel. When the previous owner installed them, he put a substantial amount of preload on the coils. Enough were I can't get anymore preload out of them. I know I will need new coils to provide the lift in the front, without any preloading. My question is how long of spring for them?
2nd. There is some serious taco lean on the front. Close to 2". Will the longer coils help removing some of it with preload on the driver's?

I'm headed up to Reno tomorrow for a mini vacation. If the weather cooperates Saturday I'll be taking a little adventure up hunter creek trail or vc highlands. I don't really know the area too well so if you guys have any other recommendations it would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what the snow level hit last night with all the precip but the top of HTC might be a mess. Sounds like fun :D

Recommendations on good places to eat? Preferably non national chains. Staying on other side of the highway from airport. Anywhere in reno or sparks goes as we are out there to explore a bit.

We just recently moved here ourselves. We found a great place off of 80 west and Robb Dr. The area is nice and plenty of running and biking trails as well.

Hokay, so, I'm feeling out selling my truck. Looking for input from you guys, some of you know my truck and what's been done to it. Talked with jberry because he knows just about everything there is to know. We thought an asking price of about 18,000 sounded about right for a starting point. 2007 with 140xxx miles and it will have freshly rebuilt shocks. Thoughts???

Well shit went to get coffee with the girlfriend and ended up with a new truck. It's a 2015 Tundra with 23,000 miles. Has Icon's, 17" Methods, 35's, Intake, and Stainless Corsa cat-back exhaust. I expected a low ball trade in offer but they offered me 17,000 and since that's about 1000 less than what I was planning on asking private party I couldn't really say no. I'll be getting rid of the orange crap though.

Toyota has surprised me with trade in values. KBB on my wife's camry was 11,500, went in expecting them to offer up 8 or 9. They offered us 12K right off the bat.
