    TRD cold air intake, Bilstein 5100's @ 2.5, Toytec 1.5" aal w/rear bilsteins. MBRP tip, Flowmaster Delta Flow 50 series, Toytec axle shims and carrier bearing drop.
    Hey did any of you guys just buy a muffler and a tip, instead of buying a whole exhaust system? My other question is is the super 40 louder than the 50 in the flowmasters.

    I got the 50 series with custom piping. If I could do it over I would just buy the muffler and tip and save the extra cash

    I have all new piping and 50 series and no tip. (cause I didn't like the "uneven" look like one side had the tip and the other didn't)

    does anyone know the the inlet and outlet sizes so i know when i order my muffler?

    I just installed a muffler. I got the Flow Master Super 44 :cool:

    The diameters are 2.5 inches :)

    ^^^Either 2.25 or 2.5, cant remember exactly. In either case it can be welded to fit.

    Muffler and a tip, call it a day. Much cheaper then a catback and usually the same gains (unless you bump up to a 3" catback for forced induction)

    would ther be any benefit to getting a 3" catback if you didn't have forced induction?

    I was thinking of ordering all 3" stainless mandrel bent pipes and a flowmaster 5 series and have a buddy install it for me but im wondering if it would be worth it.

    You tell me :confused:

    3" all the way back is too much volume for an N/A truck. you would lose pretty much all lowend. though your top 1000rpms will be quicker.

    volume vs velocity. You want velocity. smaller piping and free flowing would be best.

    For N/A a 3" catback will help in the top range if you want to sacrifice some low-end.

    I'd say for a mildly modded truck, best sound and performance, get a high flowing muffler OEM size, and a good looking tip.
