Replaced a shock the other day in my pursuit to eliminate this scrapping/knocking sound coming from my front right side tire.

Didn't fix it unfortunately. But the shock was bad. I could compress it with my hands and it would very slowly extend back out.

    Small update:
Ripped open my dash and hooked a wire to my fuel sender wire on the gauge. This is so I will be able to measure my fuel level with my little car display that I'm working on.

Kinda annoying, it's an unregulated connection to the power. So the voltage from the fuel sender varies depending on the state of the alternator/battery. Something I will have to pay attention to in order to ensure an accurate reading.

What are the best upper control arms to correct alignment issues?

Depends on what you want as in a uniball or sealed ball joint.

Uniballs are typically used with extended travel coilovers and allow more travel mainly down eliminating binding like the oem ball joints bind when downtravel happens. It also allows a better alignment especially with caster allowing 2°+. Now aftermarket sealed ball joints like SPC do The same thing (not as good travel as uniball) but are cheaper and are used alot more often in places with snowy salty roads because a uniball is an exposed joint slowing grime and dirt to get into it. SPC still usually allow a good alignment allowing very close if not 2°+ caster. Just depends on personal preference. Uniballs squeak more but I wouldn't let that stop you as race truck parts will make race truck sounds lol. Hope this helps!

Have you checked to make sure your swaybar is torqued properly? I had a noise in my front end that disappeared when the swaybar did.

That's what sucks about our trucks. Gov limits us to 95 mph :( but I only took mine to 95 for a mile at most. But it does show Toyotas reliability

Yeah I've definitely done 90 but I could have sworn I've tried 100 at some point.

I'll take it off and drive it around a bit to see if the sound goes away. Thanks!
