Not sure where to start, other than saying that it is hardly a comparison.

    1. You are leasing, he is buying to own via financing
    2. You have a trade in, he probably doesnt.
    3. Hes looking at a limited, you have a short box trd manual (aka cheaper MSRP)
    4. Not everyone can walk into a dealership and get a toyota employee discount

In Vancouver area you can get them below msrp. No trade in on my deal. No dealer fees. Didn't know sales guy prior to walking in off street.

Initially pricing matched www.Toyota.ca msrp exactly (build price). Discount lowered price below online.

Particular dealership didn't have my truck in stock however no dealership in BC had it in stock either. Robbed it from either the island or salmon arm while still on the train from Texas. (2 were incoming)

Same basic experience I had in the Vancouver area, emailed 8-10 dealers throughout the area and some gave me between 600-1650 off msrp right off the bat. Others wanted me to call them to arrange an appointment to go in (NOPE). I ended up going with West Coast Toyota, as Gord there was the most straightforward email with a full quote provided with the best deal, and it's been a complete pleasure working with them. Had to special order it, he managed to trade an allocation with another dealer to get me exactly what I wanted, and I had the truck in about 6 weeks.

my trd 4x4 dclb sport with upgrade was $41,500 out the door. Limiteds were $45,500
    includes bed mat.

Im well aware there are other salesmen and other dealerships. The reason I deal with Mike is he was the only one who came to the plate with decent pricing right off the bat. I may be able to save a dollar or two if i went back and forth to various dealers but my time is worth money.

What was the price of your 2016?

I haven't spoken to any dealers yet but does anyone know when they will take deposits on 2017s? I am particularly interested in the 2017 TRD Pro.

de-badged, tint front windows, led interior lights, door sill protectors, led b/up lights, 5" factory step rails, yellow turn signal bulbs, added 4 D ring tie downs. Took off the black vinyl stripes between the doors. Changed the grill - from Custom Car Grills, Finally got a tonneau cover put on. 31" light bar ( white & amber ), tailgate light bar, sunvisor covers ( to hide warning labels ), new bedside decals - still too cold to put them on tho. Flag decals to go on too, again too cold still. Got a 2 switch, switch plate to replace that useless cubby hole to the left of the steering wheel.. still to be installed ( hopefully this weekend ). Upgraded the tires to G/Y Duratracs... loving them, no plowing the driveway !!
Best of luck, my sons g/f's brother lives up there.... best wishes for all affected !!

Same dealer and also worked with Gord, my 2nd Taco purchase at WCT. Service is also top notch there, IMO. Mine was on a train from Texas when I ordered it. Hadn't been assigned to anyone, so a little over a week to delivery.

You could try these guys https://www.partsengine.ca/ haven't bought anything myself but have been seen lurking (drooling) around their site. Then the wife slaps me upside the head.

I had them on my Tacoma, my wife (vertically challenged) found them to high. I have them replaced now with the Toyota Predator style I got shipped from California.

I find they are great for protecting the body from gravel etc from the road and they hug nice to the cab. However, as far as getting in and out of the truck with them I think they sit too high. Go Rhino makes a decent step that is about 2-3 inches lower if you want to use it as a step to get in.

That's funny to hear, I went to Stampede to test drive a manual and the salesman essentially just tossed me the keys and said "see you when you get back".

I would consider selling you mine for cheaper than what the dealer is asking.
