Bought one just like it new in March 1966 except mine was a 327 stick shift.

Probably would have gotten killed if I had a 425 hp 427 c.i. but would have enjoyed exercising the ponies.

Of my old cars my '67 442 was probably fastest and later my '04 Corvette 6 sp coupe was quickest. Had a few bolt ones on it.

    Morning all:
A buddy of mine had the same car you had, 66 marina blue impala, 327 4-spd. It got stolen one night, and after I got pulled over by the state cops that were looking for it I went home and got my mothers car. Both he and I were checking possible spots out, and I had a rifle along. We were where a new development was being put in and didn't go in because it was so muddy and all heck would have broke loose if I would have got moms car stuck in the mud! Guess what, that's where they found the car the next morning, missing engine, trans, wheels and tires, oh so close!
One of them deals, he went to pick up his girlfriend, left the car running outside her house, went inside to get her, and when they came out the car was gone. At that time in our area there was very little worry about that happening, but that just shows how quick it can and does happen.

A little warmer weather would be nice but if it don't rain next week some fishies are in big trouble.

Good morning. I think my '74 Pinto had 90 hp or less, 4 spd. My first new car, sold it when I ordered a '79 F-100 in red, 6 cyl, 4 spd O/D, no granny gear. :( I still see it in town, repainted white. Yuck. Always had to settle for something sensible. My Honda CBR600 F2 was the only fast thing I ever owned.

    Morning all:
Happy mothers day Sue, and to all the better halves of the others! :D

It's that time! :woot: Three @ 20", 1 @ 21", and 1 @ 22 1/2". I caught the top 4 and a perch, the young guy caught the bottom one and he also had 2 legal stripers that we released. Good to see the old guy can still keep him in his place when it comes to catching walleyes, but he did get the bigger one though!
Now I have to listen to: quality, not quantity!!!

I though strippers were legal in every state? The things you learn in the mature threads.

Did you run out of $1 bills, is that why you had to let the strippers go? :)

They stocked them in our local lake, we also catch them in the mid section of the Delaware River. They need to be 20" in the lake, 28" in the river. Don't need to teach him how to catch them, I think they will try to eat anything that moves.

 My bad, !!! Corrected, but two strippers would have been even better!!
Actually the stripers are pretty good eating, just need to remove the red meat from the fillets. I prefer the Walleyes, so we usually don't keep the stripers.

Last day of rain for me I hope.
Working on cleaning my tile grout. Not that bad. Doing a little at a time.
    Big difference.
Decided to try other bodies of water this week if weather permits.
Co worker unfriended me off face book and put his phone on ignore cause I'm going to send pics of fish while he works... Lol
I was thinking of driving through the shop with the boat on and waving but I think there would be a execution before I got out the back door.... Or at least a severe beating for harassment... Roflmao

Small tragedy here this Mother's Day. We came home from brunch with extended family to find two (yep) hummingbirds on our porch. They must have flown into the window over the front door. We've had hits before but the birds almost always fly off; I've nursed one or two until they regain their wits. But we've never lost a hummingbird! And two at the same time... I'm thunderstruck. Looking at films that block reflections, or maybe a screen. I feel like I have to do something.

Found this solution for stopping bird strikes. It goes up as soon as I get the stuff and make it.

Good idea Dave, hate to see that happen to those beautiful little critters.
